Days before, it can be remembered that the senator made comments that were against the senate.
"Itong Senado na dati ay 'yan 'yong last bastion of democracy eh ngayon, wala na, para na rin kaming mga tuta nitong administrasyon na 'to. Ni ayaw mag-imbestiga eh," he said on the two days ago in a press conference.

"Dito ako makakita ng mga senador na takot, kaalyado ka na lang kasi ayaw mo aminin na takot ka eh," he added pertaining to the refusal of the senators to investigate abuses of the current admin.
There were those senators who are supposed to perform their tasks of investigating the Duterte administration, according to the senator, despite not saying in particular who these responsible people were.
"'Yong mga dapat sana na pumuna eh wala eh, sila 'yong mga bahag ang buntot," he continued his tirade.
The senator also pointed out that the current government, the Duterte administration was showing the Philippine National Police (PNP) in a bad light since President Rodrigo Duterte used them to mobilized his War On Drugs campaign which took place since he came into power.
"Dati professionalized ang hanay ng kapulisan pero dahil inengganyo magpatay [sic] ng tao eh ngayon, d'yan sa hanay ng kapulisan, may mga mamamatay tao eh. Eh papaano 'yan, papaano madidisiplina later on?" he stated.
Together with Senator Ejercito, Senator Vicente "Tito" Sotto III also made his thought heard regarding the Trillanes' asking for apology.
He suggested that the senator should issue a public apology as an 'honorable way out' to his fellow senators whom he insulted in spite of the fact that Trillanes did not specify any names. This will save the guilty senator from facing another ethics case before the upper chamber.
"Of course. Yes, it could be the honorable way out. As far as I am concerned, instead of saying it is the easiest way out, it is the honorable way out," the senator said after he was asked whether a public apology is necessary for Senator Trillanes to redeem himself.
The first ethics complaint that was filed against Senator Trillanes was last February by someone named Abelardo de Jesus after the he accused the two justices of the Court of Appeals of having received a bribe of P25 million each to prevent the suspension of the Makati mayor at the time, Junjun Binay.
The second ethics rap was filed by Senator JV Ejercito after issuing 'unparliamentary' and 'disrespectful' statements against the institution.
Ejercito defended how the senate handled the issue of abuses perpetrated by the administration, saying that the senate is still observing democracy as every decision is based on the majority votes. The senators vote when they agree and disagree.
