‘Should you not be thankful na pinansin ka pa?’ – Radio host to Jennylyn Mercado decrying attempts to silence her

Radio host Mark Lopez couldn’t stop the itch to respond to Jennylyn Mercado’s latest tweet decrying what she called an attempt to silence her for exercising one’s right to question.

In a Facebook post with the title “JENNYLYN MARKADO PART 2”, Lopez wrote: ‘Eto na naman tayo Jennylyn Mercado eh…’

Lopez explained once again to Jennylyn Mercado why he wrote the Jennylyn Markado Part 1, and that is not to shut her mouth or a message telling her to shut up.

‘Nung sinagot ng maayos ang obviously rhetorical question mo about “breakdown ng inutang,” the effort was not to silence you, or tell you to shut up.’

But…

‘On the contrary, we addressed your rhetoric to actually help educate you, especially in the nuances of what you have brought up as an issue.’

Without holding back his punches, Lopez called spade a spade re Jennylyn Mercado’s latest attempt to engage netizens on Twitter.

‘Ngayon, here you are engaging na naman with your flair for drama and putting yourself as an underdog who was attacked and harassed by simply exercising your right to question.’

Lopez told Jennylyn Mercado that she has two choices staring at her face but she chose the latter, which he suspects a puppeteer is pulling strings behind the curtain.

‘You see, you really have a choice naman talaga whether you want to sincerely know and learn, and use that knowledge to influence and make the world around you better… or simply act your part as the bitch who was probably coached or influenced to engage in linguistics just to spite and incite people to hatred and rage.’

Lopez remarked that his gut feeling tells him Jennylyn knows what she’s doing and the current “paawa” narrative is just a pathetic attempt as her defense mechanism she has been exposed as a fraud activist.

‘Feeling ko naman, alam mo ginagawa mo, and this current ‘paawa’ and ‘pa-victim’ narrative is another pathetic, lame and moronic attempt to defend yourself because you have been exposed for your sham activism and epic fail in pretending that you really care at all about our National Debt.’

Lopez reiterated it is incorrect for Jennylyn to claim she was being silence. It just makes her looked very stupid.

‘Again, it is so incorrect and misleading to say na ‘gusto ka patahimikin’ just because nagmukha kang tanga.’

If you asks his personal opinion, Lopez believe Jennylyn isn’t stupid. She may even be relishing at her new found notoriety. As they say in showbiz, good or bad publicity is still publicity.

‘Personally, I believe hindi ka tanga, and you may even be enjoying your new found notoriety, typical of that showbiz cliché na “good or bad publicity, is still publicity.”‘

On Jennylyn’s complained that people might have forgotten to respect others who different opinion, Lopez answered:

‘As for respecting your opinion, the fact that we took painstaking effort to respond, and even presenting you with facts, prove how we acknowledge what you posted in social media, even if we know what you were really aiming for is not to expound and elevate the discourse, but simply to engage in diatribe against the government.’

Lopez shared to Jennylyn another cliché to remind her about earning respect.

‘By the way, here is another cliché – Respect is earned, not demanded.’

Lopez ended the FB post by reminding Jennylyn to thank him for the attention. ‘Should you not be thankful na pinansin ka pa?’

Lawyer quips on Renate Reyes: ‘Hinala ko nga, baka panahon pa ni Magellan, nag ra-rally ka na rin sa Cebu’

‘Eto na naman ang payaso!’ This is the opening salvo of Atty. Nick Nañgit to warn netizens that Renato Reyes is gonna get roasted in his latest FB post.

Atty. Nick called out Reyes, whom he addressed “payaso” or clown in English, to tell Reyes what his mother told him that before he was born, the “payaso” has been a fixture in street protests. Now that he is a lawyer, he wanted to asks Reyes, is he still on the streets (leading anti-government protests)? No government is good for you? Atty. Nick asked.

‘Huy, mamang payaso, di pa ako ipinapanganak, sabi ng nanay ko nasa lansangan ka na. Ngayong abugado na ako, nasa lansangan ka pa rin? Walang mabuti sa iyong pamahalaan, ganern?!’

Atty. Nick dared Reyes that if he is disappointed with the leaders of the country, why not run for President, to get elected to a position and prove that indeed you are good, not just blabber and blabber, when you are not even a worthy critic.

‘Kung disappointed ka sa lahat ng namuno sa bansa, bakit hindi ikaw mismo ang tumakbo, para mahalal ka sa posisyon at mapatunayan mong magaling ka, hindi yung putak ka ng putak e wala ka namang katorya toryang kritiko!’

Atty. Nick accused Reyes of turning street rally as his personal enterprise! That’s why, when asked about his plans with regards to the pandemic, because he is so intelligent, he should bravely answer the challenge and not sidestep the question. Supposedly, he is a genius now because he has lived under different Philippine leaders in different decades and yet he has not found contentment with them, correct?

‘Ginawa mo ng palabigasan ang pag ra-rally! Kaya, pag tinatanong ka kung anong plano mo sa pandemya, dahil nga punung puno ka ng katalinuhan, dapat buong tapang mong sasagutin ang hamon sa iyo, at hindi yung isasantabi mo ang tanong. Dapat isa ka ng henyo ngayon, dahil naranasan mo nang mapasailalim sa mga pangulo ng ilang dekada at hindi ka nakuntento, diba?!’

Atty. Nick remarked that if Reyes fails to understand what the President has been doing now, it is because of he is just slow.

‘Kung di mo getz ang ginagawa ng Pangulo ngayon e dahil yan sa kahinaan ng iyong kokote!’

The truth is, Atty. Nick said, Reyes isn’t capable of taking the challenge because his brain is slow, that is why street rallies or enterprise has been his thing for several decades now.

‘Yung totoo, di mo talaga kayang sagutin ang hamon sa iyo, dahil nga mahina ang iyong kokote, kaya serbisyong lansangan ang inatupag mo ng ilang dekada!’

Atty. Nick ended the FB post by joking that he suspects, Reyes started street rallies in Cebu since Magellan’s time, that’s why his face is shaped like mango.

Ex-La Salle prof compares anti-administration critics on covid-19 response to “Laban-Bawi” contestants. Read why!

A former De La Salle History professor compared the noisy critics of the Duterte administration’s handling of the covid pandemic to the very popular but now defunct “Laban-Bawi” segment of Eat Bulaga.

Former De La Salle History professor Van Ybiernas opened the FB post by acknowledging that the Philippines has now more than 100K cases of covid but registered only 2K+ deaths. However, there are more than 100M Filipinos in terms of population.

On Facebook, Ybiernas asked: ‘Ano ang dahilan?’

Ybiernas answered, ‘Dahil daw palpak ang ating pamahalaan.’

I imagined Ybiernas raising his eyebrow while throwing a series of questions to perfectly set up the fatal punch that took out the wind out of the anti-administration critics:

‘Ganun ba? E ano kaya ang masasabi ni Angela Merkel dito? Doble ng bilang ng kaso ng Covid sa bansa ang meron sa Germany (211k) at lampas 9k ang patay. 83 milyon lang ang populasyon nila.’

‘E ang Canada ni Trudeau? 38 milyon lang halos ang populasyon pero halos 117k ang Covid cases at halos kasing dami ng Germany (9k) ang patay.’

‘Sa France in Macron kaya? 188k ang Covid cases at lampas 30k ang patay! 67 milyon lang ang populasyon nyan.’

Here’s the fatal blow I said earlier that Ybiernas threw at the anti-administration critics, ‘Aba’y kung sablay ang “populist” na lider ng ating bansa, e di mas sablay ang mga liberal democrats ng Europa at Norte Amerika!’

‘Mass testing daw ang solusyon!’ Ybiernas noted the cry of the wokes and the Opposition.

Ybiernas also cited the experience of Russia who is not doing well either.

’27 million tests na ang nagawa ng Rusya. Ang resulta? 850k cases at 14k deaths. Populasyon ng Rusya ay 144 milyon.’

Ybiernas also mentioned Germany having conducting 8M tests and urged the reader to refer to the stats he already stated above.

‘Germany ay nagkaroon ng 8 milyon na tests. Nabanggit na sa itaas ang statistic nila.’

At this juncture, Ybiernas asked the $1M question which I pictured the anti-administration critics scampering towards their refs to get a glass of water.

‘Ano pa ang solusyon ng mga kontra-gobyerno na contestants sa Laban-Bawi?’

Ybiernas cited an example why he compared the anti-administration critics to Laban-Bawi contestants.

‘Mali daw ang ECQ nang mag-ECQ ang gobyerno. Pero ngayon tama na daw ang ECQ.’

Another inconsistency of the anti-administration critics Ybiernas noted is they want the Duterte admin to follow Vietnam’s lead in handling covid but having the covid positives isolated in military camp is wrong, which is what Vietnam is doing.

‘Sundin daw ang Vietnam. Pero mali daw ang pag-isolate (sa mga kampong militar) sa mga may Covid, na siyang ginawa ng Vietnam. Mali daw yun, kapateeeeeeeeeeeed.’

In addition, Vietnam is against mass testing. According to Ybiernas, the last count was around 300K tests for a nation of 90M people.

‘Tapos kontra din ang Vietnam sa mass testing. Ang huling ulat nasa 300k tests lang ang Vietnam para sa isang bansa na 90 milyon ang populasyon.’

This is in contrast to the Philippines which conducted more than 1M tests. ‘Lampas 1 milyong tests na ang Pilipinas!’

On why the government was against mass testing? Ybiernas called critics stupid. He recalled the government said from the start that we should trust our experts. They know who to test and who not to test, when to test or not.

‘E bakit daw kontra tayo dati sa mass testing?
Tanga! Ang sabi namin noon ay pagtiwalaan natin ang mga eksperto. Sila ang nakakaalam kung dapat ba o hindi, at kung sakali ay kelan dapat, mag mass testing.’

Another consideration which Ybiernas recalled having said it, which is also the same as Malaysia’s stance on mass testing, is that the people might have false sense of security. They might have this thinking since the numbers of covid cases are low, they will lower their guard down by disregarding the safety precautions.

‘Ang ilang konsiderasyon dati —na nabanggit ko din— ay kagaya ng sabi ng Malaysia na baka magkaroon ng false sense of security ang taumbayan bunga ng mass testing, na isipin nila tutal nagmass testing na at mababa ang bilang ng infected sa Covid ay pwede na nila bale-wala-in ang safety precautions.’

Ybiernas shared his observation in South Korea where is based now. He said many Koreans stopped wearing mask perhaps because of the humid weather since it is summer there. They started to get complacent after the mass testing and the cases of covid in South Korea is low, so they started to think that it is okay not to follow the safety precautions.

‘Actually, nakikita ko iyan dito sa Korea. Dumarami na ang hindi nagsusuot ng mask kasi siguro summer dito at maalinsangan (di naman talaga masyadong mainit). Kumpiyansa na sila na nakapag-mass testing na at mababa ang Covid sa Korea kaya pwede na huwag sundin ang safety precautions.’

Ybiernas took a swipe at critics he described intelligent summa cum laude graduate of Facebook University – especially the communist morons – are the ones who know the solution of covid. He said the communist morons are very certain that they will not get covid that is why they keep holding rallies.

‘Yung mga matatalinong summa cum laude gradweyt ng Facebook University —lalo na ang mga bugok na komunista— lang naman talaga ang nakakaalam ng solusyon sa Covid. Siguradong sigurado nga ang mga bugok na hindi sila tatablan ng Covid kahit rally sila ng rally.’

‘Iba talaga ang mga bugok! Maski ano ibabato basta makabato lang!’ Ybiernas lamented how pathetic the anti-administration critics’ strategy.

Ex-De La Salle professor calls Opposition “Bugok” for joining bandwagon calling for re-imposing of ECQ in NCR

‘Ang bugok nga naman!’

This is how former De La Salle History professor Van Ybiernas described the Opposition politicians who change their stance or position in a particular issue depending on where the government stands.

Ybiernas cited the ECQ as an example. The former De La Salle professor noted that when the Duterte government imposed ECQ in Luzon, the Opposition had a litany of complaints justifying why they were against it.

For example, they were worried about the employees who will lose their jobs, the daily wage earners, the dirty ice cream vendors and the jeepney drivers who will lose their incomes because of ECQ.

And now that the government is second guessing whether to return to ECQ or not amid the rising cases of covid in NCR, the Opposition are quickly jumping on the bandwagon amid the call of the medical frontliners pleading President Duterte to return NCR and nearby provinces to ECQ.

Ybiernas can’t help but lashed at the kind of politics the Opposition play on his Facebook wall, calling them ‘Bugok’ or rotten.

Ybiernas lamented that the Opposition seemed to have forgotten the daily wage earners, the dirty ice cream vendors and the balut vendors now that they have spotted an opportunity to attack the administration.

So mainstream media’s new poster girl, 2019 Bar topnotcher Ms. Mae Diane Azores has been quoted once again, particularly by News5Digital via her recent tweet taking a swipe at President Duterte, who said that the plan of the government was to wait out until a vaccine arrives?

Atty. Azores remarked on Twitter that this plan is like waiting indefinitely for a miracle to happen.

On that note, one of our “suki” DDS bloggers named Tio Moreno has taken to Facebook to defend President Duterte from the impertinent remark of Ms. Mae Diane Azores.

“Inaasa nalang talaga natin sa vaccine?” This is the opening salvo of Tio Moreno to open his long rebuttal to Atty. Azores’ tweet.

‘YES YOUR HONOR!’ Moreno, in a mocking tone, replied that the government’s plan is to wait for the arrival of the vaccine.

Moreno informed Ms. Azores, in case she isn’t, that the government has already set in motion the plan she was demanding via the IATF. He asked then where was she when the BAYANIHAN TO HEAL AS ONE ACT was enacted?

‘The government has already set in place the policies by the IATF. Resolutions were even made available for public consumption. I don’t know if you’ve read all of those, but your honor where are you when the BAYANIHAN TO HEAL AS ONE ACT was enacted?’

Moreno joked if Atty. Azores was asleep when the government rolled out the billion-peso program to help out Filipinos during the outbreak.

‘Did you sleep when the 275B was rolled out to help out the Filipino citizens on this coronavirus outbreak?’

Moreno went on to update Atty. Azores the various programs of the different government agencies and citing figures to give her and fellow critics a picture of what the government has done so far.

The National Government has also embarked on the biggest social financial aid program in history.

– Ward beds: 3,008 (35% occupied)
– Mechanical ventilators: 1,941 (19% occupied)

Moreno clarified that the figures may have changed because of the dynamics of the virus but the government isn’t resting on its laurels and continue reacting to the changing situation.

‘These figures may have changed now because the number of positive cases has been obviously increasing and our gov’t continues to build medical facilities as well.’

Moreno lamented that despite the government tapping the services of the AFP and the PNP to ensure the lockdowns are strictly observed, but still still, there were a few who defied the measure to prevent the spread of the virus.

‘The government already tapped the PNP to safeguard lockdowns and asked help from AFP to restrict mobility to lessen contagion, but still rallies and protests are everywhere.’

Moreno informed Atty. Azores that he will now rest his case, believing he has said enough to defend the government from her criticism.

‘With that in mind your honor, we believe that the government has done its part and that is to ensure resources will be available both for the citizens and frontliners in the middle of pandemic.’

‘Your honor, what can save people from COVID19 is their adherence to quarantine protocols, plus the availability of the VACCINE. Yes your honor, we are indefinitely waiting for a MIRACLE to happen because miracles come true,’ Moreno added.

Moreno wrapped up his FB post by challenging the 2019 bar topnotcher to share her suggestions or recommendations to address covid19 crisis.

‘And I heard you’re a BAR TOPNOTCHER, I hope you can give out better suggestions or recommendations to address COVID19 crisis.’

Radio host offers brilliant suggestions to President Duterte how ECQ 2.0 will succeed this time!

The medical community, particularly in the NCR and nearby regions has fired the distress flare so to speak, asking the government to impose ECQ, jus for two weeks to give them breathing air amid the rising cases of covid in Metro Manila.

In a joint statement, the Philippine College of Physicians wrote to President Duterte.

“We propose that the two-week ECQ be used as a “time out” to refine our [COVID-19] pandemic control strategies, addressing urgent problems.”

On that note, radio host Mark Lopez wrote an open letter, appealing to President Duterte to give a listen to the plea of the medical community in the NCR and nearby provinces.

Lopez explained the aim of the medical frontliners, which is to slow down the number of cases and to prevent the hospitals and health centers from getting overwhelmed.

So to give the medical frontliners the necessary break, people need to stay at their homes for 2 weeks.

Now, Lopez asked why people go out? Because they they need to work for their survival.

Lopez went on to articulate the ideal response of the government to stop people from going out if and when ECQ 2.0 returns, that is to make people look at ECQ 2.0 as an incentive to stay at home for 2 weeks and not as a threat.

Radio host sends Jennylyn Mercado back to school for asking breakdown of gov’t spending amid loan spree?

GMA 7 actress Jennylyn Mercado has been raising some eyebrows lately because of her social media posts throwing shades at the Duterte administration.

One particular post, actually a tweet, Jennylyn Mercado posted on July 29, 2020 went viral on Twitter, generating more than 24,000 likes in a span of 48 hours or more.

In her tweet, Mercado asked Twitterverse whether the Duterte admin has released the breakdown of the money the government borrowed and where it went?

The actress’ tone demanding transparency did not please DDS, including radio host Mark Lopez who remarked that he cannot resist the urge to respond to Jennylyn Mercado tweet.

Lopez asked if Mercado is really interested to know the breakdown of the money borrowed by the Duterte government?

Lopez figured that if Ms. Mercado was really serious, she need not asked because all the information is readily available.

But, Lopez wondered if Ms. Mercado’s concern was the entire debt of the Philippines which is P9.06 TRILLION, including the breakdown per administration?

Lopez asked if Ms. Mercado was aware that the said debt, wasn’t incurred just last month or at the start of 2020, or at the end of 2019? Lopez explained this debt was the running tally of the country’s debt from one administration to the next.

Lopez once again asked Ms. Mercado whether she was aware that when President Duterte assumed power in 2016, the country’s debt already stood at more than P6 TRILLION?

Or whether Ms. Mercado was only asking the breakdown of the loans for the covid response?

Lopez wondered why Ms. Mercado bothered to ask when all the information are available?

Batangueno reporter responds to Regine Velasquez “Paano ang Pinoy kung walang Cardo, Vice Ganda et. al ?” viral meme

Remember Regine Velasquez-Alcasid’s viral IG post asking netizens, “Paano ang Pinoy kung walang Cardo, Vice Ganda at Kathniel?”

Well, don’t blame Asia’s songbird for making an effort to rally the Filipino people behind the Kapamilya network since she was fighting for her livelihood at the height, if I remember correctly, of the Congressional hearing when ABS-CBN network was in the thick of the fight to get a new franchise.

As expected, Ms. Regine’s IG post went viral, eliciting mixed reactions on social media. Her fan’s and the Kapamilya supporters loved her for it but those who were anti-ABS bashed her.

However, after ABS-CBN’s franchise request was denied by Congress, Ms. Regine went silent, as far as as posting controversial statements, perhaps traumatized by the negative comments generated by her rants against the administration.

But peace is simply elusive for Ms. Regine Velasquez-Alcasid as netizens like this Batangueno, veteran DRZH and Malacanang radio reporter Henry Uri wants to lecture Asia’s songbird, though a bit delayed, why her arguments in support of the Kapamilya network by appealing to the emotions of the public is unacceptable to him and the public in general.

In other words, Mr. Uri isn’t buying the songbird’s argument that the Kapamilya artists he mentioned are essential to the survival of the Filipinos.

In fact, months after the Kapamilya network went off the air, Mr. Uri noted he never heard of Filipinos complained about being “nausog” or suffered an illness attributed to being greeted by a stranger, fainted and got sick and turned down by the hospital simply because they could not watch these artists on TV?

Besides, Uri wants Ms. Regine to convince him why would Filipinos join their fight when these artists will never bother to join ordinary Filipinos when they complain against Meralco, versus the high prices of crude, pandesal and sardines?

Mr Uri remarked that instead of the Asia’s songbird asking what will happen to Filipinos if Coco Martin, Vice Ganda and Daniel are no longer on TV, Ms. Regine should asked, what will happen to these artists when Filipinos stop watching them?

Netizen to PBB alum Maris Racal: “Mag aral ka please, dami mo ng pera kaso lang bobita ka”

‘Mag aral ka please, dami mo ng pera kaso lang bobita ka.’

This is essentially the message of the open letter addressed to PBB alumna Maris Racal written by a certain Tio Moreno, a Duterte supporter or a DDS.

Maris Racal caught the attention and the scorn of Moreno following her tweet criticizing the Duterte administration for prioritizing the death penalty while literally making coronavirus wait. See the screenshot below of Racal’s tweet.

In the open letter, Moreno informed Racal that in elementary school, there is a subject called HEKASI where he learned there are 3 different branches of government. The three branches of government are co-equal branches and perform distinct roles. The Executive branch headed by the President execute the laws made by the Legislative branch (Upper House or the Senate and the Lower House or the House of Representatives). Aside from making laws, the legislative also alter and repeal them. The Judicial Branch is the Supreme Court and the lower courts. The Judiciary interprets the laws made by the Legislative, whether or not there has been a grave abuse of discretion amounting to lack or excess of jurisdiction on the gov’t.

With that being said, Moreno told Racal that the government can multi-task and went on to cite an example to drive home his point.

*COVID is handled by the Executive.
*ABS-CBN franchise renewal is handled by the Legislative
*Maria Ressa’s Cyberlibel case is handled by the Judiciary

Moreno can’t help but wonder why Racal would blame the President when all those he mentioned happened during the pandemic.

Moreno remarked that just because there is a virus doesn’t mean all three branches of government will stop doing their respective jobs. He said if we follow Racal’s logic, then we should not jail violators, we should not sanction terrorists, we shouldn’t allow lawbreakers to be held accountable on their mishaps because we need to focus on COVID19. He urged Racal to click the link he dropped and review http://www.covid19.gov.ph/covid-19-timeline/ to educate herself what the government have done since Day 1. But he told himself that Racal, a graduate of PBB can’t do this and she’s not even aware of this.

Moreno reiterated he was in Grade 4 when he learned all these and wished they were classmates so he could have given her free tutorials. Moreno ended the rant begging Racal to study because she has plenty of money but dumb.

Moreno’s open letter has gone very viral, 79,000+ shares and almost 108,000 reactions on Facebook as of this writing.

I just wanna let you know that when I was in the 4th Grade, my Heograpiya Kasaysayan at Sibika (HEKASI) teacher already taught me about the 3 branches of the Philippine gov’t. These are: Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary.

We were also taught to remember that these three branches have a separation of powers wherein legislation belongs to Congress, execution to the Executive, and settlement of legal controversies to the Judiciary.

The Executive is composed of the President & Vice President. The Constitution grants the President authority to appoint his Cabinet.

The Legislative branch is divided into the Senate and the House of Representatives. They are authorized to make laws, alter, and repeal them.

The Judiciary is made up of the Supreme Court and the lower courts. This branch will tell you about the controversies involving rights and this identifies whether or not there has been a grave abuse of discretion amounting to lack or excess of jurisdiction on the gov’t.

That being uttered, we can say that the government can MULTITASK.

Cases in point:
*COVID is handled by the Executive.
*ABS-CBN franchise renewal is handled by the Legislative
*Maria Ressa’s Cyberlibel case is handled by the Judiciary

These all happened iN tHe miDdLe oF pAnDeMic. And I don’t know why you put all the blame to the President

Between Isko Moreno and Leni Robredo for President in 2022? This GMA 7 head writer weighs option

‘Sa totoo lang, between Leni and Isko?’

In her FB post, GMA 7 SOAP drama head writer Suzette Severo Doctolero asked this question to herself and also to rouse the interest of her followers.

‘Kay Isko na lang ako!” Doctolero gave her answer without hesitation.

Doctolero quickly clarified that Mayor Isko Moreno has not issued a statement announcing his intention to run for a national position but she making the comparison for comparison’s sake.

(Note: wala siyang sinabing tatakbo siya pero kinukumpara ko lang).

Doctolero justified her choice by citing the reasons why she chose Moreno over Robredo such as having experience in public service, showing good governance in Manila especially during the pandemic etc.

‘Mas may experience pa sa serbisyo publiko. Maayos ang pamamalakad sa Manila lalo na nitong panahon ng pandemya. Galing sa hirap na nagpursige kaya alam ang buhay mahirap. Mas may charm at talino pag nag-i-speechhh! Bonus point: pogi. Chos!’

On serious note, Doctoloro commented that even Isko is still not ripe for the position of the President. She said he can run senator. If Isko’s experience and wisdom to run the country is not enough, she asked how much more is Leni? She said if there is no other choice, she would rather go for Isko.

‘Pero seryoso, maski si Isko ay kulang pa. Pwede siya bilang Senador muna. Pero kung hindi pa sapat ang kaalaman ni Isko, mas lalo yata si Leni? Susko. Wala na talaga ibang choice? E di Isko na lang ako!’

Besides, she said Isko will surely win over Leni. It easy to sell Isko, because he does not looked forced.

‘At mas mananalo rin kasi si Isko kaysa kay Leni. May madaling ring ibenta yang isa, hindi pilit.’

One netizen shared her observation with regards to Doctolero’s post. ‘Agree raw (hilaw) pa masyado si Isko to run as prexy…congressman or senator yes pasado siya….pero experience wise mas lamang si Isko kay Lugaw tas meron sense pa ang mga sinasabi ni Isko.’

Another netizen butted in and said that Isko is still needed by the City of Manila. ‘For me, need pa siya ng manila mahirap na dapat kasing skilled nya ang papalit sa kanya sa manila. Pwede na siguro after 2 terms. Feel ko future president yan si isko sa tamang panahon.’

Open letter chides 2019 Bar topnotcher Mae Diane Azores’ for “state of the nation worst in years” statement

An open letter castigating 2019 Bar Exam Topnotcher Mae Diane Azores has been making the rounds online lately.

Ms. Azores merited a mean response from ‘The Brave Filipinos’ for her Facebook post wherein she described the state of the nation as “worst in years” under Duterte and the Filipinos getting used to waking up to exasperating news. “We all know that the state of the nation is at its worst in years. We’ve become accustomed to waking up to frustrating and infuriating news everyday.’

She continued: ‘Hearing false promises and empty rhetoric have become the “new normal”. Nakakapaogd na, tama na.’

The Brave Filipinos wasted no time and responded to Ms. Azores’ statement on Facebook which he or she described “ambiguous”. Why? Because Ms. Azores failed to give the specifics of the problem. The “our nation is at worst” phrase caught the attention of ‘The Brave Filipinos’ which he or she noted failed to point out a particular issue and the reasons as support why she said so. On that note, ‘The Brave Filipinos’ can’t help but doubt how she topped the Bar exam in this condition.

On Ms. Azores statement that false promises and empty rhetorics have become the new normal, ‘The Brave Filipinos’ enumerated 13 promises of then Mayor and now President Duterte made in the 2016 election and asked her to comment on it one by one and tell the public if the President failed to deliver those promises or not. You may skipped to the part where the 13 promises she needs to comment on and go over yourself and see if President Duterte delivered those promises as well.

On Ms Azores accusing President Duterte of making empty rhetorics? ‘The Brave Filipinos’ responded by reminding her the meaning of rhetoric in case she has forgot the meaning of the word. The Brave Filipinos explained that as Ms. Azores recognized it as rhetorical, then it is not empty at all since President Duterte’s rhetoric has achieved its purpose, hence it HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH actual administration execution of governance in and by itself! Since she cited “rhetoric” ergo, the speeches of the president met the requirements of what ought to be a rhetorical by nature. The Brave Filipinos remarked that Ms. Azores statement is extremely FALLACIOUS!

The Brave Filipinos ended the FB post by telling Ms. Azores to stop practicing law if that’s how she figure things out. To think that she just passed the bar while saying something about pretending to be an intellectual and learned when one does not really belong in that category.

In this sense, I am considering my doubts why you obtained the highest rating in 2019 BAR Exam in this condition. I am pretty sure that you are referring the present administration with your “false promises” and “empty rhetoric” accusations and this for you “the new normal”
1. FALSE PROMISES:
✓President Duterte promised to combat illegal drug trade and use. Didn’t he fulfill that? Answer!
✓He promised to eradicate corruption. Didn’t he fulfill that?
✓He promised fast documents processing like passports, licensing et Al. Didn’t he fulfill that?
✓He promise free irrigation system and all agri-related sustenance, improvements and modernization. Didn’t he fulfill that?
✓He ventures Build Build Build Infra projects: highways, farm to market roads, high end bridges, airports, fly overs, rehab of PNR, LRT and MRT, terminals, TRAIN SA ILALIM NG LUPA, Sport Complex, Express ways, et Al. Can’t you see those efforts?
✓He modernized the AFP, PNP and Fire Fighters, enhanced Rescue Equipments and trainings, Organize a responsive NDRRMC down to local levels et Al. Can’t you see those initiatives?
✓He increased salaries for our soldiers, police, teachers, medical people esp nurses, still you defy all these realities?

Senator Risa Hontiveros’ recent tweet prompts this lawyer to ask: ‘Mambabatas ka ba talaga?’

‘Mambabatas ka ba talaga?’

Essentially, this is the tone of the latest FB post of our favorite lawyer and blogger Atty. Nick Nañgit following the tweet of Senator Risa Hontiveros complaining about the arrest of placard-bearing churchgoers by the police.

In a FB post, Atty. Nick fired the opening salvo, calling Hontiveros “shung@belz” in gay lingo or stupid in English.

‘Isa pang shüng@belz itong Risa na ito!’

Atty. Nick went on to lecture the good senator that if she’s a Catholic, she knows that a holy mass is not one of the seven sacraments. He pointed out that the Eucharist that occurred during the holy mass is one of the 7 sacraments. For the information of the senator, before the Eucharist was performed, members of the leftist group entered the church who did not even pray. That. according to Atty. Nick is unacceptable.

‘Yung naganap kahapon ay misa. FYI, kung Katoliko ka at hindi Katola, dapat alam mo na ang misa ay hindi isa sa pitong sakramento. Ang Eucharist o Yukaristiya na ginaganap sa loob ng isang misa ang sakramento. FYI ulit, wala pa yung sakramentong yun, e may nanloob na na mga maka-Kaliwang hindi naman nagdarasal. HINDI ito katanggap tanggap.’

Atty. Nick continued the education of Hontiveros and that Catholics attended the holy mass to pray not to recruit fellow Catholics to join the cause of leftist groups bearing placards that do not include prayers.

Nagpupunta ang mga Katoliko sa misa, para magdasal, HINDI para maghikayat na sumanib sa mga maka-Kaliwa gamit ang placards na walang nilalamang dasal, getz mo?!

‘Anong karahasan ang pinuputak mo?! Kung ako ang nasa loob ng simbahan na yan, sisipain ko pa ala Sailor Moon palabas ang mga nagbibitbit ng placards, dahil binabastos nila ang aking pagdarasal.’

Atty. Nick remarked that as a lawmaker, Hontiveros is aware of this fact, that what her fellow leftists did was a crime. However, based on the tone of here statement, the senator is ignorant about this, that is why Atty. Nick wants to remind Hontiveros of the Revised Penal Code.

‘Dapat alam mo yan, dahil mambabatas ka, na krimen ang ginagawa ng mga kasing shüng@ mo! Kaso, base sa putak mo, di mo knows ito, kaya ipapaalala ko sa iyo ang Revised Penal Code:’

“Art. 133. Offending the religious feelings. — The penalty of arresto mayor in its maximum period to prision correccional in its minimum period shall be imposed upon anyone who, in a place devoted to religious worship or during the celebration of any religious ceremony shall perform acts notoriously offensive to the feelings of the faithful.”

Atty. Nick can’t help but ask: ‘Mambabatas ka ba talaga?’

Irate Lawyer to Karen Davila: ‘Ikaw na ba ang Pangulo, para magsabi kung ano ang pwede at hindi pwede?’

Our favorite lawyer and blogger Atty.Nick Nañgit is once again on the warpath, this time against ANC Headstart host Karen Davila.

Atty. Nick of the FB page Nick Nañgit – NCN Law can’t contain himself from sheer exasperation while reading Davila’s tweet telling President Duterte he can’t do this and that, can’t mention names of a senator or a private company in his SONA.

According to Davila, the President’s SONA is talking about the state of the country, where we are, the direction we are going, not about personal vendettas or feelings. Ms. Davila preached about providing inspiration to the Filipinos because many are hungry and jobless.

Atty. Nick opened the post by giving Ms. Davila a holler to get her attention and addressing her “fool”. ‘Hoy, D3vila T0nt@, makinig ka!’

In an angry tone, Atty. Nick remarked that if Ms. Davila says that President Duterte cannot name a senator or a private company in the opening of the SONA, which part of the speech President Duterte can mention the name of a senator and private company? Towards the end of the speech? Atty. Nick demanded an answer from Ms. Davila.

Next, Atty. Nick asked Ms. Davila if what President Duterte presented in yesterday’s SONA wasn’t the state of the nation or SONA, then what was it? He can’t help but ask if Ms. Davila really paid attention to the SONA or was busy fixing the line of her eyebrow which he noted changes every episode as a blogger?

Did Ms. Davila look for inspiration? Atty. Nick asked Ms. Davila to produce the manual or book which states or tell the public the contents of a SONA? An indignant Atty. Netizen responds to Nikki Valdez saying she regretted voting for President Duterte for failing to keep election promises

An obviously pissed DDS named Noel Landero Sarifa took to Facebook to respond to a statement allegedly made by Kapamilya talent Nikki Valdez, saying she regretted voting for President Duterte whom she thought Duterte will give voice to the small people and sympathize with their flight.

And now 4 years later while closely following President Duterte to see if he has fulfilled his promises for the country, she can’t help but ask, ‘What happened?’

Sarifa remarked that first and foremost, the ordinary people have now a voice, the government have the 8888 hotline where they could air their grievance against government officials, emergency hotline like 911, the Office of the President that people can write to or call about their problems, the Malasakit Center ready to lend medical assistance. And yes, Sarifa thanked Valdez for her vote and ordinary people have now a voice.

On Ms. Valdez’s accusing President Duterte that his loyalty belongs to China? Sarifa asked why would Valdez say that? Did President Duterte built roads and bridges in China? Did he implement salary raises of soldiers, police, teachers and nurses in China? Did he give Chinese students free tuition and wifi? Is being friend with China the basis of loyalty? Why during PNoy’s admin when we lost an island? And why during Duterte’s admin when the country signed a bilateral agreement with China to stop further encroaching of China in the WPS?‘

On Ms. Valdez complaining about, once again, prioritizing the anti-terror bill, which is now a law? Sarifa returned the question to Ms. Valdez with more questions. We waited for decades to give the public protection against terrorism? For how long you want the public to wait? Until when you allow someone get killed by the terrorists?

On Ms. Valdez accusing the Duterte admin of prioritizing ABS-CBN’s shut down? Sarifa said this is incorrect because ABS-CBN’s franchise expired without any external influence, and as mandated, if there is no franchise, it cannot operate. Sarifa asked to clarify if he heard it right from Valdez that she said ABS-CBN was shut down? Sarifa responded that ABS-CBN is still open, the government merely took back the frequency it lent to ABS-CBN because their franchise has expired. During the Congress hearing, it was found out that ABS-CBN is no longer qualified to get a new franchise and it’s not President’s fault.

On President Duterte prioritizing ABS-CBN shutdown and thousands lost their jobs while POGOS continue to operate? Sarifa replied that POGOs started during former President GMA’s administration and asked Nikki Valdez if it’s alright if 37,000 Filipino employees lose their jobs? He also asked why Ms. Valdez would lash at POGOs when it has already been legalized because it was operating illegally in the past. Now that the public is enjoying the benefits it brings to the table, she wants it closed? What kind of thinking is that? Sarifa asked.

On Ms. Valdez question if these are indeed the plan? Sarifa conceded that’s the plan of the President for the Philippines, the public have a say, there is understanding with other countries not promoting wars, implement the law, make steps to fix the processes of the illegal operations of businesses in country so that the public will benefit from it, not the few. Sarifa hoped that Ms. Valdez can see that, be grateful that she voted for Duterte but no, she would rather want ABS-CBN to operate illegally for her benefit instead of respecting the President and the Constitution.

Mayor Richard Gomez tells President Duterte to fire person in charge of Hatid Tulong Program asap in open letter. Read why!

Mayor Richard Gomez of Ormoc City is quite alarmed of the photos circulating online, which some reporter from Rappler described as some images straight out of an apocalypse movie.

Quite alarmed that Mayor Gomez decided to writer an open letter, to call the attention of President Duterte regarding the situation at Rizal Memorial Coliseum for the Hatid Tulong Program. ‘Just in case no one is showing the real pictures,’ Mayor Gomez wrote.

On this note, Mayor Gomez can’t help but ask President Duterte who is in charge of the said program? He sounded apologetic for being curious, because in his opinion, that person he said is clueless of what he’s doing.

Why? Because that person has zero skill in managing huge crowd. No social distancing for more than 2 days!

I can only imagine Mayor Gomez shaking his head in disgust, wondering how many of these people will get covid before they return home to their respective provinces.

Mayor Gomez ended the open letter by telling President Duterte to get rid of this person for lack of sensitivity and also for disregarding public health.

Who is your person in charge of this program? I am sorry but in my opinion, that person doesn’t know what he is doing in organizing something as big as this.

He cannot tell the people to be in an orderly manner. No social distancing for more than 2 days!

How many of them will be infected with Covid as they head home to their provinces this week because of this arrangement!?

Whoever that person heading this program should be fired for insensitivity and no regard for public health!

‘Why ABS-CBN will not succeed with their People’s Initiative (PI) gambit?’

This is the question that would raise the eyebrows of ABS-CBN supporters, knowing that the network has a huge following in the country and getting the signatures required is easy for them.

But a netizen using the FB handle Cocky Rocky thinks he has the answers why the so-called People’s Initiative of ABS-CBN is doomed.

Cocky Rocky enumerated 6 reasons why ABS-CBN will once again fail to secure a new franchise and resume broadcasting on free-to-air TV.

Sorry to break your heart wokes but according to Cocky Rocky, you need to be a registered voter to participate a People’s Initiative. If you have not registered before the pandemic started, doing it now is risky and if you just turned 18 and itching go out and register to support ABS-CBN, IATF is watching you. [Comelec]

1) Only REGISTERED VOTERS are allowed to participate in this. Wokes and lazy middle class citizens who think that Twitter noise without actually going out of their bubbles and safe spaces to register to vote are not qualified.

Getting a minimum of a certain percentage of the total registered voters to affix their signature these days is a tall order.

2) A PI needs a minimum of 10% of the total registered voters to sign the petition.

And this?

3) A PI needs the 10% of the total registered voters to come from 3% of each legislative district.  Good luck on this one.

Cocky Rocky said a PI cost this much and spending billions of taxpayers money for the benefit of a private company? He can’t help but utter a cuss word.

4) The cost of a PI is more than Php 3 billion. So, WE, taxpayers are expected to pay for ABS-CBN’s franchise application. PI!

As they say, timing is everything. Cocky Rocky says the 2022 election will overlap with the PI petition.

5) The timing is wrong. The PI petition will overlap with the 2022 elections. The COMELEC is also in-charge of verifying the signatures of a PI. 

Once again, timing is everything. The country is under community quarantine, Cocky rocky wondered who will gather and verify the sigs?

Cocky Rocky said enough treating this network as a priority because they are not and they are closed.

‘Enough! It’s time to stop treating this network as a priority. It is not. It’s closed.‘

Popular movie director explains why he still trust President Duterte 4 years into office

Well, President Duterte will be making his annual SONA (State of the Nation Address) on Monday, his 5th actually and critics are expected to make some noise, perhaps to dampen the mood of the Duterte supporters and the public in general, who are desperate to hear some good news in the midst of the pandemic.

In a Facebook post, veteran and well-known movie director Manuel Castaneda perfectly articulated the frame of mind of President Duterte’s critics as they prepare to meet tomorrow’s 5th SONA.

‘Duterte-haters are now sharpening their claws in preparation for the president’s SONA on Monday. They are determined to find flaws and faults, real or imagined, in the SONA. A few will provide rational, intelligent, and objective analysis worth taking into consideration. However, many will be like cheap inconsequential faggots, full of vindictiveness with only vile opinions to share, coupled with an illusion that they are being witty. This, I ignore.’

On one hand, Castaneda mentioned in passing how the DDS will react and he said this is just a natural reaction and refused to talk about it further.

‘Naturally, the DDS will be on the defensive. If the opponents are on the warpath, so are they. That is to be expected and there is no need to expound on this.’

Castaneda then shifted his focus on President Duterte’s speech tomorrow, and remarked he does not expect it to be different than the previous – hard to follow when he wanders away from his script and injects his brand of humor. He noted that President Duterte’s unpresidential style has opened himself to harsh criticism but that did not made the President change his style.

‘Chances are Duterte’s speech will be hard to follow especially when he shifts to stream of consciousness and peppers it with his own brand of humor. His “unpresidential” method of communication though candid, truthful and even entertaining always subjects himself to harsh criticisms. It has been like this since day 1 of his presidency and, for reasons only known to him, he has not made efforts to change his style.’

For this reason, the popular movie director confessed he does not give much importance to President’s SONA but he will still listen but not in earnest.

‘It is because of this that I don’t give too much importance to what he says. Nevertheless, I will still listen to the SONA but not in earnest.’

But wait! If you think, the popular movie director is having a change of heart and abandoning his support for President Duterte, you’re dead wrong.

‘For the longest time, my focus has been on what he does, a lot more than what he says. Admittedly, some of his actions were be very frustrating but there are several strokes of genius enough for me to continue to put my trust in him. As the saying goes; actions speak louder than words.’

That tweet and the accompanying Rappler article elicited an angry reaction from our favorite blogger and lawyer Atty. Nick Nañgit who minces no words in lashing at Rappler in his latest FB post.

‘Tignan ninyo kung gaano ka-g@g0 ang Rappler!‘ Atty. Nick cursed at Rappler.

Atty. Nick wrote that if you are a journalist or reporter, just tell the truth, and refrain from adding any color to your reporting.

‘Kung ikaw ay isang namamahayag o journalist, ilahad mo lang ang katotohanan, at hindi mo dapat bibigyan ng kahit anumang kulay ang iyong inilalathala.‘

Atty. Nick went on to stress that “infrastructure projects” of any government is indeed an economic kickstarter. He asked the writer of the Rappler article where did and how come there was “to attract thieves” phrase at the end of the caption, if not the writer is stupid. And what infuriated Atty. Nick even more was the writer made innuendo that the projects of the country are for the thieves? Atty. Nick decried the Rappler writer’s final touch – put the image of President Duterte in the article. He said there was a “subliminal message” intended for readers who are not critical when they think.

‘Ang mga “infrastructure projects” ng kahit anong pamahalaan ay talagang magpapasimula ng aktibidad sa ekonomiya. Saan ngayon nanggaling at bakit may karugtong pa na “to attract thieves”, kung di ba namang gunggong ang nagsulat nito at nagpapasaring ulit na ang mga proyektong ginagawa para sa bansa ay para rin sa mga magnanakaw? At tiniyak pa nilang ilagay yan sa litrato ng Pangulo. May “subliminal message” na ginagawa ito sa nagbabasa na hindi kritikal kung mag-isip.’

Atty. Nick exposed Rappler’s style – complained about no press freedom under the Duterte admin but he said it is clear that they can still freely fool readers with their news articles.

‘Tapos, hihirit ang Rappler na wala na raw itong kalayaan sa pamamahayag e ang linaw linaw na nagagawa pa nitong maggag0 sa magbabasa ng isinulat nilang balita!’

A furious Atty. Nick ended the FB post with this line, ‘Tar@nt@d0 diba?!’

Lawyer foresees ABS-CBN’s permanent closure in case gov’t decides to collect P1.97T fines incurred by Kapamilya

In another installment of the Facebook series “Ubos na Katol”, Atty. Nick Nañgit discussed the ramifications of the P1.97T fines incurred by ABS-CBN because of violations of its franchise.

In a Facebook post, Atty. Nick stated that the imposition of penalties or fines is under the jurisdiction of the NTC.

Atty. Nick added that the NTC has a list of the violations re telecommunication and the corresponding fines for every violation. These fines should have been imposed a long time ago, not when Congress only discovered it. Hence, this should be investigated and hold the heads of the concerned agency accountable, in the event there is negligence on their part.

Atty. Nick reckoned that since there is such a thing as due process, the NTC must first come out with an order and give ABS-CBN a chance to explain before the NTC will issue a resolution or order to collect the said fines.

Atty. Nick alerted the public to expect ABS-CBN to bring this to court with the prayer that the NTC order to collect fines will not be implemented but the court will decide.

If and when the court is not in favor of ABS-CBN, for sure they will elevate the case to the Supreme Court. If they lose their case at SC, that’s the only time they are obliged to pay the fines. If they refuse to pay the penalty for whatever reason, that’s the time the process of escheat of ABS-CBN’s properties will commence, in favor of the government. The law gives 5 years for the execution of the decision.

That’s the reality. It’s stated in our Constitution, in our laws and rules.

The process of escheat will only happen if the government does not the own lot occupied by ABS-CBN.

This is where the concept of “builder of bad faith” comes into play. For example, you know you don’t own the land and yet, you proceeded to put up a building. Squatter mentality so to speak.

If proven that the government own the land, the government will go after the other properties of ABS-CBN and as the payment for the penalty. Atty. Nick said this is because the government is not allowed to the collect penalties from its own property. That’s cheating.

Because of the huge possible fines, Atty. Nick warned, this will lead to the permanent closure of ABS-CBN. The responsibility to pay the fines falls on the owners of ABS-CBN, however, it is only limited to the extent of their investment or ownership. ABS-CBN is a corporation

The owners or stockholders can only be held accountable (including Angel Locsin and other Kapamilya who own ABS-CBN shares) until the limits of their private investments, if this is pierce under the veil of “corporate entity”.

Atty. Nick stated that this is another series of cases. And that only happens when they did not dispose their private properties or sell it to other people or they did not hide their millions in tax haven countries or they have not changed citizenships.

Atty. Nick stated this is where the payment of obligations to banks and the status of registration of ABS-CBN in SEC comes in. He also urged the public not to forget ABS-CBN’s millions or billions of syndicated loans without collateral.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN will ignore the employees they used to fight in their behalf. NGANGA!

Brave netizen pleads to “genius” Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, teach Duterte, 10 world leaders how to handle pandemic

Hmmm…Senator Kiko Pangilinan, for the nth time, is bossing around President Duterte to reveal his plans on how to fix its failures and mistakes in stopping covid in its tracks.

In addition, Pangilinan also asked the government what are its plans to return the jobs of millions of who lost their means of livelihood and who are going hungry because they have no food.

MJ Quiambao Reyes, a known Duterte supporter on social media, took the initiative to respond to Senator Kiko Pangilinan’s concerns in behalf of the Duterte administration.

Reyes, in an open letter, parried Pangilinan’s attack vs the Duterte government by returning the question to the sender.

Reyes asked the senator what has he done to prepare the country for this kind of pandemic? Even a slight action, if ever?

‘Sa tatlumpu’t dalawang taon (32 yrs) sa gobyerno kung saan mahigit dalawang dekada (20+ years) ikaw ay nasa nat’l position bilang senador at myembro ng gabinete, ano nga po ang inyong nagawa para mapaghandaan ang mga ganitong klaseng pandemya? Kahit slight lang, meron ba?’

Reyes continued that as intelligent and as someone who has been in government for a long time, she asked the senator for suggestions?

‘Sa talino mong yan at sa tagal mo na po sa gobyerno, anu-ano ba ang mga suhestiyon mo?’

Aside from blabbering and criticizing and providing bail money, what are the serious actions he is taking now and tomorrow to help those who lose their jobs and have gone hungry?

‘Maliban sa kumuda at tumuligsa at magbigay ng piyansa, ano po ang mga seryosong ginagawa mo ngayon at gagawin mo bukas para makatulong sa mga nawalan ng trabaho at nagugutom?’

‘TULUNGAN MO NAMAN ANG GOBYERNONG KINABIBILANGAN MO,’ Reyes suggested to Senator Pangilinan.

Reyes pleaded to Senator Pangilinan to teach President Duterte and 10 of the world leaders who are now affected by the pandemic. Perhaps, they can learn from a genius like you.

‘Turuan mo naman please ang Pangulong Rodrigo sampu ng lahat ng mga lider sa buong mundo na ngayon ay apektado. Baka sakaling may matutunan sila sa isang henyong tulad mo.’
