Like all of us, our favorite celebrities also have an ordinary life to live behind the camera. What we see on TV doesn't show the whole picture. Even as they are famous, they can't dodge the challenges that life can bring.
Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) made a list of Filipina showbiz personalities who got pregnant during an ongoing TV project. With the sudden situation, these stars had to cope and create major changes to the plot of their teleseryes.

1. Kylie Padilla
Padilla had been in and out of the spotlight ever since she dropped the bomb of her unexpected pregnancy and engagement announcement with fellow Kapuso actor Aljur Abrenica.
She's currently playing the role of Amihan in GMA 7's fantasy series Encantadia. Due to her condition, her character was taken care of by facing death.
2. Beauty Gonzales
The former PBB housemate was playing a major role for ABS-CBN's noontime drama series 'Ningning' when news of her pregnancy broke out. Like how Padilla's condition was resolved, Beauty's character as mother of Ningning faced death.
Gonzales posted her confirmation on Instagram that she really was 5 months pregnant at that time.
3. Toni Gonzaga
The multimedia star Toni Gonzaga was set to do a project with actors Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby entitled 'Written in our Stars' for ABS-CBN. However, the tv host/actress got pregnant before it was set to tape so it had to be postponed.
Gonzaga already returned to her hosting in Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7.
4. Angelica Dela Cruz
Unlike most celebrities who went through the same case, Angelika Dela Cruz was lucky that she got to finish her GMA teleserye in April 2015 when she announced pregnancy. Her scenes for 'Healing Hearts' were taken in advance to favor her situation.
In the past, Dela Cruz was also able to finish a teleserye during her pregnancy. In 2008, her hits "Una Kang Naging Akin" and "Lalola" ran smoothly while she was pregnant.
5. Marian Rivera
Marian Rivera was set to be the love interest of Glaiza De Castro on the drama series 'A Rich Man's Daughter' but she got replaced by Rhian Ramos because of her delicate pregnancy.
At first she was willing to go through taping but later took it back due to her delicate pregnancy.

6. Empress Schuck
During her current teleserye with GMA 7, 'Kailan Ba Tama Ang Mali,' there were rumors spreading that the actress was pregnant. She confirmed the issue in April 2015.
The management resorted to making her character pregnant as well and it went smoothly.
After she delivered her baby, she made a comeback through 'Ipaglaban Mo.'
7. Judy Anne Santos
In March 2015, Santos was about to star on a Dreamscape Entertainment project entitled 'Someone to Watch Over Me' but she got pregnant before it was set to tape.
The project got postponed until she gave birth. However, the project didn't push through because of lack of support from the production.
8. Jolina Magdangal
The now Kapamilya star Jolina Magdangal got pregnant during an ongoing GMA tv series. She temporarily left the show "Mundo Mo'y Akin" to complete bed rest.
She returned and finished the remaining episodes of the teleserye. Then, she switched to ABS-CBN and signed a contract with them.
9. Sarah Lahbati
The actress had a very controversial story. She had to face legal charges led by GMA 7 when she suddenly left the country to study in Switzerland.
Rumors spread that she was pregnant and that she left 'Indio' because of the harness she had to wear.
It was in 2013 when the actress confirmed giving birth to Baby Zion, her son with boyfriend actor Richard Gutierrez.

10. Andi Eigenmann
The actress was playing the role of soldier Gabrielle Marcelo in ABS-CBN's "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin". Her character had to die because of her pregnancy.
When her character died, she was already 5 months pregnant.
11. Regine Velasquez
Iza Calzado took over the role of Regine Velasquez on GMA 7's 'I Heart U Pare' when she announced pregnancy.
The singer and her husband Ogie Alcasid confirmed the pregnancy during an episode in Party Pilipinas last 2011.
12. Denis Laurel
While she was playing as Emerald Fortalejo in ABS-CBN teleserye "Precious Hearts Romances presents Kristine," Denise Laurel confirmed that she was pregnant.
The production decided make changes in the plot by having Emerald go to United States and return after several years. However, her character failed to come back and so her partner, Rafael Rosel ended up with Iya Villania's character.
Laurel announced in an interview in 'The Buzz' that she just gave birth.
13. Jennylyn Mercado
Her pregnancy with Patrick Garcia sparked a loud buzz in Philippine entertainment. Jennylyn was at the peak of her career when this happened that's why it was a major issue that time.
Jennylyn and ex-boyfriend Patrick first became controversial when they starred in 'Maging Akin Ka Lamang' in 2008.
14. Jodi Sta. Maria
Jodi Sta. Maria got out of 'Kampanyerang Kuba' flawlessly due to its context. Because her character has magic that can transform faces, she was instantly replaced by Desiree Del Valle.
After that, she confirmed her pregnancy.
15. Angelou De Leon
Just when her love tandem with Bobby Andrews was very popular in the 90's, Angelou was suddenly required to leave the top-rating show 'Growing Up'. It was later confirmed that she was pregnant with action star Joko Diaz's baby.
In her interview with the PEP, Angelou admitted that the time came when she was caught between ‘Do you wanna continue the pregnancy, or you wanna continue the show?’ In the end, the actress held on to what she thought was right.
