Look: Sara Duterte helps motorcycle rider involved in accident in a highway in Tagum City, netizens praise Sara for the gesture

Mayor Sara Duterte of Davao City has earned the praise of netizens after helping a motorcycle rider involved in a motorcycle accident while navigating a curved portion of the highway somewhere in Brgy. Madaum, Tagum City this Sunday morning.

“Tinulungan ni Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio ang isang 57-anyos na lalake na nahulog mula sa minamanehong motorsiklo nito habang paliko sa Brgy. Madaum, Tagum City, Linggo ng umaga.”

According to news report from the FB page of TV Patrol Southern Mindanao, Sara Duterte’s group was just behind the 57-year old male rider whose identity has not yet been identified when the accident occured. The Davao City Mayor is a motorcycle enthusiast like her father. “Nasundan ito ng grupo ng Mayor na nagmo-motor.”

The traffic investigator who responded to the incident told TV Patrol Southern Mindanao that the 57-year-old rider attempted to avoid running over a dog who crossed the curved portion of the highway but that caused him to lose his balance and and his motorcycle as well. “Natumba rin sa motorsiklo ang isang escort ni Mayor Duterte-Carpio na iniwasan ang lalake.”

One of Mayor Sara Duterte’s motorcycle escort also lost control of his two-wheeled vehicle after trying to avoid running over the 57-year-old rider. “Ayon sa traffic investigator, iniwasan umano ng biktima ang isang aso na tumawid nang paliko ito.”

Fortunately, the two riders suffered only minor injuries. “Nagtamo lang ng minor injuries ang dalawa.”

Netizens lauded Mayor Sara Duterte for running to the aid of the motorcycle rider.
