If you’re familiar with Honda Philippines’ motorcycle lineup, specifically its big-bike offerings, then there’s a good chance you know of the brand’s CB bikes. If you are, then get this: Honda has just given us our first look at the CB-F Concept, the newest iteration of its flagship sports bike.
The CB-F Concept is Honda’s attempt at combining modern tech along with a design that harks back to the iconic CB900F, also known as the CB750F in Japan. You can actually tell with one look at the bike that it does have sort of an old-school appeal to it.
We don’t have a lot of details yet, but we do know that the bike is lightweight with a high-tensile steel mono-backbone structure. Honda also mentioned that it is powered by a 998cc, water-cooled, four-stroke, flat-four DOHC engine. It has an inverted front fork suspension and a lightweight aluminum single-sided Pro-Arm rear suspension.
This is the newest addition to Honda’s numerous CB models—albeit only in concept form—which have helped establish the series’ icon status across its six decades of existence. This initial reveal comes just before the launch of the Honda Virtual Motorcycle Show where Honda will unveil the numerous bikes it originally planned to release during the 36th Osaka Motorcycle Show and 47th Tokyo Motorcycle Show.
