The Land Transportation Office (LTO) announced just a few days ago that it will be waiving penalties for all late renewals of driver’s license and vehicle registrations for at least a month in light of the Metro Manila community quarantine.
Now, with the announcement of an enhanced community quarantine, the LTO has announced that it will be suspending operations across the entire Luzon region starting today until April 13, 2020.

If you were originally planning to drop by an LTO office anytime soon, then you can scratch that off your to-do list. Besides, it’s best we stay at home these days, anyway, so you can bump off any appointments with the agency for the meantime. Also, as we said in our previous story, you need not worry if the expiry date of your license or registration falls anywhere from March 13 to April 12, 2020. In addition, student drivers will also have the validity of their permits extended.
Take note, motorists. You can also check out our stories on the current COVID-19 pandemic here to stay in the loop. You might as well read up on the most recent guidelines on public transportation, too, by clicking here. Stay safe, everyone.
