Lamborghini’s Squadra Corse department is doing a Ferrari FXXK-style track-only hypercar, and as you can see/hear from the video above, it makes a collection of very excellent noises.
Most of these noises emanate from the 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine making 830hp. Though said engine is probably a development of the Aventador’s V12, Lamborghini assures us the so-far-nameless hypercar will be different from its road cars.
It’ll have a hulking wing, an air scoop on the roof, and a racing hood with dual air intakes, along with a carbon-fiber monocoque and a self-locking differential. From even the quickest of glimpses in the teaser video, it looks like a very serious item indeed, with GT-style headlights in the front bumper and a mega-looking diffuser arrangement.
Set to be built in limited numbers, of course, the car is set to be revealed this summer. And be in no doubt, it’ll cost millions. There are mumblings Lambo could be preparing an entry into Le Mans’ new hypercar class. Could this be it?
