A certain netizen using the pseudonym Iqbal Garutay has taken to socmed to expose the hypocrisy of Senators Risa Hontiveros and Kiko Pangilinan.
Garutay wrote that the above-mentioned senators came out swinging against the proposal to tax online sellers, calling the proposal “heartless” because the government wants to squeeze out even the smallest in our society.
“So Kiko Pangilinan and Risa Hontiveros came out against the proposal to tax online sellers. Nagkaroon sila ng opportunity to attack the government, portraying it as heartless. Sabi nila pati maliliit gusto pigain.”
Garutay called the two senators half-witted for attacking it without getting their facts straight. “Kundi ba naman ISA’T KALAHATING TANGA ang dalawang ito??!!”
Why? Because this proposal isn’t new. “Ang proposal to tax online sellers earning 250,000 or more ay hindi bago.”
And here comes the b0mb Garutay detonated in the faces of Senators Pangilinan and Hontiveros – the proposal came from BIR Commissioner Kim Henares.
“Ito ay pakana ni Comm. Kim Henares na nakapaloob sa memorandum na nilagdaan niya noong April 2013. Panahon pa iyo ng poon nilang si PeNoy.”
Garutay said the proposal to tax online seller was the idea of fellow dilawan. These dilawans she said are the real heartless, devoid of empathy for the small people.
“Ang panukala ay ideya ng mga kabaro nilang dilawan. Silang mga dilawan ang talagang mga walang puso, mga walang malasakit sa maliliit na tao.”
Garutay ended the FB post saying that she was glad the dilawan did not succeed in deceiving the common man. “Buti na lang hindi nila nauuto ang masa. Ahihihihi”

One netizen commented that this was the time when the PNoy government was finding ways to find cash flow for the government and the smallest businesses weren’t spared but big time delinquents like Lucio Tan were spared “Yun yung time na naghahanap sila ng pagkakakitaan ng gobyerno at pati maliliit na negosyo ay pinagbabayad nila pero yung mga malalaking tax deliquents tulad ni Lucio Tan ay di nila siningil”
This netizen remarked that the dilawan supporters to read and not believe what Kiko and Hontiveros tell them because this piece of information is a skap to their faces . “o kayung naniniwala sa mga walang pusong Dilawan magbasa kaya kayo
