Self-confessed Sharonian to Sharon Cuneta: ‘I will not let your fake tears dictate the future of my children.’

A self-confessed Sharonian named Chao-Tiao Yumol has taken to Facebook to express his thoughts on his movie idol who blamed the Duterte’s for the failed Mayoralty bid of his brother in Pasay City.

In case you missed it, Sharon Cuneta had some sort of a meltdown on Instagram lately wherein the Megastar lashed at the supporters of the President and the Dutertes, as I’ve said previously, for the failed political bid of her beloved brother and him incurring a huge debt because of his foray into politics.

Sharon Cuneta said that it was President Duterte who personally convinced her brother to run for Mayor in Pasay, which the Cunetas welcomed with open arms as Sharon admitted, more so when Sara Duterte endorsed her brother’s Mayoralty bid as well.

In the same IG post, the Megastar complained about his husband and daughter being disrespected and called by names on socmed. Sharon asked if we hear them complain even if their feelings were hurt? ‘No,’ Sharon said.

Towards the end of Sharon Cuneta’s rant, the Megastar turned it into a political pitch for Leni Robredo.

In other words, Sharon is endorsing Leni Robredo for President in 2022 because she’s decent and not corrupt but at the same time, she said she will remain friends with the Dutertes despite supporting opposing Presidential bets.

Moving forward, Yumol took to Facebook expressing strong opinion on her movie idol’s rant against the Dutertes and the Duterte supporters.

Yumul opened the FB post by sharing a short anecdote wherein he witnessed Sharon Cuneta’s acting prowess in person. He joked he almost dropped to his knees as a sign of worship for Sharon’s superb acting and focus to cry.

‘Nakita ko na si Sharon Cuneta sa personal once, nagtetaping siya sa Malate para sa movie nila ni Aga muhlach. Syempre dahil Sharonian ako nanunuod ako at ilan oras ako nakatayo. During one of their breaks lapitan ang mga friends niya beso beso etc, the usual sossy rituals. Pero nakasteady lang si Sharon sa isang pwesto siguro dun ang spot at anggulo niya,Biglang sumigaw ang director ng “action!”, alisan ang mga dalaw niya, yumuko siya si Sharon Cuneta, in less than 10 seconds tumulo ang luha niya. Muntik ako mapaluhod at sambahin si ate shawie sa galing niya umarte at focus sa pagiyak.’

Yumul continued: ‘One snap of finger nagawa niyang magpatulo ng luha. Maraming maraming luha. Yun luha na akala mo namatayan. Ganun kadami. Alam na alam sa showbiz kung gaano kagaling umiyak ni Sharon kaya nga siya tinawag na #MEGASTAR.’

‘Why am I saying this?’ Yumul asked.

Well, Yumul reasoned that Sharon Cuneta grew up in the showbiz industry and expect her growing a thick skin in her long years in showbiz. In other words, Yumul’s message to the public is to refrain from buying Sharon Cuneta’s dramatic performance wherein she wants the public to believe she is deeply hurt by what is happening around her, the Kiko and Kakie bashing because she is an actress and married a politician and very much prepared for public criticism and criticism comes with the territory.

‘She is an entertainer. Her core is showbiz and performing arts. Artista ang dugo niya. Bago siya naging asawa at ina, si Ate shawie ay hinubog ng showbiznes. Dont be fooled by the idea na nasasaktan siya sa nangyayari, artista sya at nag asawa siya ng pulitiko. She is very much prepared for public criticisms.’

Yumul reckoned that when she gave birth to her eldest daughter, Sharon’s daughter and her family were severely criticized by the public. ‘Nung pinanganak niya si kc Concepcion binatikos ang anak niya at pamilya nya ng sobra.’

When Sharon married Kiko Pangilinan, the entire local media called her husband ‘Kiko Matsing’ but Sharon did not react. In fact, she even made a joke about the moniker on her show. Yumul attested to this because he and his family are Sharonian and they watched all her shows on TV.

‘Nung nagpakasal siya kay Kiko Pangilinan bumabaha sa diyaryo, radyo at tv ang tawag sa asawa niyang Kikong Matsing, maski siya ginagawa niyang joke yun sa show niya. I know because Sharonian buong pamilya ko at pinapanuod namin siya sa lahat ng shows niya. Yes Lahat.’

Yumul argued that the looks of Sharon’s daughter and Kiko has been criticized but Sharon was mum because it was still #DISENTE (decent) before when Cory and Noynoy were Presidents? Now that the President is Duterte, Sharon is now complaining that the Duterte supporters aren’t “DISENTE? Yumul asked why? It has been a decade since Kiko has been given that nickname and Sharon just laughed it off but suddenly she had a change of heart and use that against Duterte?

‘Noon pa binabatikos ang itsura ng mga anak mo at asawa mong si Kiko, pero nanahimik ka lang, #DISENTE pa noon kasi si Cory at Noynoy pa presidente?, ngayon na si Duterte na aalma ka at magiinarte na hindi na kame disente dahil kay Duterte? Bakit? Bago lang ba natawag na kikong matsing si Senator Pangilinan? Di ba noon pa? Dekada ng bansag sa kanya yan ah,, natatawa lang kayo noon pero ngayon gagamitin niyo yan laban kay #Duterte?’

Yumul continued that the future of the country is at stake, that is why we should not let the opinion of artists dictates what is decent or not.

‘Kinabukasan natin ang nakakasalalay dito, huwag tayong magpadikta sa opinyon ng isang artista kung ano ang disente at ano ang hinde.’

On Sharon Cuneta blaming Sara Duterte for her brother’s failed mayoralty bid? Yumul told Sharon to learn how to accept defeat with grace because it was their family who decided to gamble in politics. Besides, Yumul asked if Sharon can’t influence the voters of Pasay? Isn’t the voters who decide the outcome of any election? Yumul asked.

‘Bakit niya isisi kay Sara Duterte ang pagkatalo ng kapatid niya at pagkabaon sa utang, kung hindi ba naman sila ganid sa kapangyarihan ilang dekada na nilang hawak ang Pasay panahon ng tatay niya,47 years as mayor, yumaman na ng sobra, gusto pa mabawi ang pamumuno sa lunsod ng Pasay? Ibigay niyo na sa iba. Ginusto niyo sumugal sa pulitika, natalo kayo. Tanggapin niyo. Bakit nakay Sara Duterte ang susi ng pagkapanalo niyo? Di ba kaya ng isang Sharon Cunete impluwensyahan ang boto ng Pasay? Db botante ang magpapanalo o magpapatalo sa isang kandidato? Bakit sinisi ni Sharon sa mga Duterte?’

Meanwhile, Yumul said that he supports the issue Frankie’s fighting for, that the victims of r@pe should not be blame but to dictate that Dilawans are the key to getting back a sense of decency in our society is unacceptable.

‘Pabor ako sa pinaglalaban ni Frankie dahil tulad niya naniniwala din ako na hindi dapat sisihin ang biktima kung bakit siya ay narape, pareho tayo ng paninindigan dun, PERO, PARA IDIKTA MO SA AMIN NA YANG MGA DILAWAN NA SINUSUKA NAMIN ANG SUSI SA PAGKADISENTE AT GUSTO MO IBALIK SA PWESTO ANG MGA YAN, ABAH MAGKAKAPROBLEMA KA. Baka nalilimutan mo na 16 million kameng bumoto kay Tatay Duterte at kaya kame bumoto sa kanya ay dahil ayaw na naman ng MAPAGKUNWARING DISENTE.’

Yumul said he is a doctor by profession and if Sharon insists that Leni Robredo is the barometer of the decency of our country, he said he doesn’t care if the Dilawans will not call him #disente.

‘Isa akong doctor, at kung si Leni Robredo ang basehan ng pagkadisente ng bansang ito, di bale ng huwag niyo akong tawaging disente.’

Yumul reiterated his reason for his post and that is, not to believe Sharon’s every word because she is an actress and can pretend to be devastated but in reality, she was just faking it.

‘Anong point ko sa post kong ito? Dont trust Sharons tears to make you decide for your country because she is a veteran actress and she can unleash those expensive tears for a price. She can pretend to be devastated and crying while her true state of mind is perfect and euphoric.’

Yumul assured Sharon Cuneta though he will continue to patronize her movies because she is a good actress but he will not let her fake tears dictate the future of his children.

‘I will still watch your movies because you are a good actress, but i will not let your fake tears dictate the future of my children. You are a billionaire and nothing that will happen in this country will adversely affect you, pero paano kameng mga ordinaryong tao?’
