Filipino-American winger Thomas Reid is poised to enhance the strength of the already formidable Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights.
Fastbreak received information from a source indicating that Reid has found a home in Letran, having initially committed to the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers before transferring to the University of the East Red Warriors.
“Siguro Letran na ‘yung pinaka-final na lalaruan niya,” the source said. “Nakailang lipat na din siya eh, pero siguro hindi siya nagfi-fit sa system.”
The source further mentioned that Reid had played for the Growling Tigers in a pre-season tournament before informing the UST coaching staff of his decision to move to the Red Warriors.
“Nakapaglaro na siya sa UST, impressive nga ‘yung laro niya eh, kaso biglang nagpaalam na lilipat daw siya, kaya nirelease na ng UST,” the source stated.
Standing at 6-foot-2, Reid remains eligible for two NCAA seasons with Letran, starting with the upcoming Centennial Season later this year.
