Don Trollano on winning Mr. Quality Minutes: “Finally may mapapakita na ako”

For Don Trollano, being named Mr. Quality Minutes at the PBA Press Corps Awards Night is more than just an individual milestone — it’s the result of years of dedication and perseverance.

“Masaya, syempre,” said the San Miguel Beermen guard in an interview with Abante Sports reporter Rog Nicolas. “After a decade of hard work, finally may mapapakita na ako.”

The 33-year-old veteran was formally honored on Monday, October 13, at Novotel Manila, in recognition of his consistent impact off the bench during San Miguel’s championship run in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup.

Trollano averaged 9.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists, emerging as a steady contributor in the Beermen’s second unit and a key piece in their title defense.

Asked what fans can expect from him moving forward, Trollano’s message was clear and determined:

“As always, I’m gonna give my 110% every game.”

He now joins Bong Alvarez, the late Boybits Victoria, Chris Calaguio, Terrence Romeo, and Jericho Cruz as the sixth San Miguel player honored with the Mr. Quality Minutes award, the Press Corps’ counterpart to the Sixth Man of the Year. (JNV)
