It's Election Day in Georgia, and voters are heading to the polls to decide two contested seats on the state's Public Service Commission (PSC).
Polls opened at 7 a.m., including at the Columbus Public Library, where a steady stream of voters arrived early to cast their ballots.

Many said the election may not draw large crowds, but it has major implications for household budgets.
"I feel this is important in order to have a right to speak about certain things. I'm going to let my vote do the speaking for me," one voter said. "I don't have a right to say anything if I don't vote."
Another voter pointed out the everyday impact of the PSC. "This election is for most of what governs our utility bills. So that's important to our everyday lives, where every four years are the higher officials that don't necessarily interact with our daily life," they said.
All registered Georgia voters are eligible to vote in both PSC races.

Republican incumbent Tim Echols faces Democrat Alicia Johnson in the District 2 race.
In District 3, Republican Fitz Johnson is being challenged by Democrat Peter Hubbard.
Polls remain open until 7 p.m. WRBL News 3 is your Local Election Headquarters.
