COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Officials with the Columbus Police Department announced on Friday that a man was arrested last week in connection with a deadly shooting in August.
Authorities said 22-year-old Marques Lattimore was arrested on Oct. 24, in connection with the shooting death of 24-year-old Jabreia Burston.
Lattimore was charged with murder, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
On Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2025, officers found Burston injured in the parking lot at the Grove Park Apartments.
Burston sustained the injuries from a gunshot and was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional, where she later died the next day.

Lattimore appeared in Recorder's Court on Oct. 25, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges.
He was eventually denied bond, and the case was bound over to Superior Court for further proceedings.
