SC Antonio Carpio to Duterte :Take China's Threat To United Nations!

President Rodrigo Duterte has been advised by Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonio Carpio that he should take the China's war threat to the United Nations. China's President Xi Jin Ping threatened President Duterte with war when he brought up a plan to drill oil in an area in the West Philippine Sea that was already declared within Philippine's exclusive economic zone on Saturday, May 20.

“The threat of China to go to war against the Philippines if the Philippines extracts oil and gas in the Reed Bank, or in any area within the Philippine EEZ (exclusive economic zone) in the West Philippine Sea, is a gross violation of the United Nations Charter, UNCLOS and the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia to which China and the Philippines are parties,” the Supreme Court Associate stated. Also pointing out that China has no veto in the General Assembly and that the UN Charter outlaws the use or threat of force to settle disputes against states..

Since war is not on the list of the Philippines to implement it's national policies, Carpio said that one of the President's option is to bring up the war threat to another UNCLOS arbitral tribunal where a possibility to secure a direct order to China to comply with the UNCLOS arbitral tribunal rulings which also declared Recto Bank part of Philippine EEZ. Malampaya was replaced by Recto Bank that supplies 40% energy for Luzon.

Carpio have called out Filipino citizens to unite and defend the West Philippine Sea as long as it is accordance with the Philippine Constitution, Int'l law and UNCLOS.

“China’s threat of war against the Philippines over the West Philippine Sea reveals the aggressive design of China against the Philippines. No less than Chinese President Xi Jingping has delivered the threat personally to Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. An arbitral tribunal has already ruled with finality that the Reed Bank is within the EEZ of the Philippines and only the Philippines can exploit the natural resources within Philippine EEZ.”

Since United States is the only country that has a Mutual Defense Treaty, the country to strengthen its ties with defense alliances.

The President's has to do its constitutional duty by all legal means under international law to protect and preserve the best interest of the nation.

Meanwhile, coming from the negative and unsupportive side of everything related to President Duterte, Magdalo party-list group Rep. Gary Alejano said that Duterte acts like a Chinese propagandist on territorial dispute.

Magdalo party-list group Rep. Gary Alejano is the author of the dismissed impeachment complaint against the President Duterte.

Referring to Pres. Xi Jin Ping's war threat, “We did not hear that from his Chinese counterpart.” The Magdalo Representative refuses to believe that President Duterte actually brought up the dispute issue with President Xi Jin Ping.

He also said that Duterte always raises hell every time Duterte is reminded by the US and EU about human rights and commitment to the rule of law.

Ever since Alejano appeared publicly, he would always insult the President but struggles to persuade the Filipino people who supports him. All he says are against Duterte without even having solid and authentic basis or records as proof. One of the reason why his impeachment complaint was junked at the first hearing.

But despite all accusations, the President doesn't let it all get to him. He continues to work hard and do his job as the President,
