It used to be that Filipinos would always equate living in a different country – like the States – as a means towards a greener pasture in their lives
Now, it still rings true to some of us, celebrities included. Some of the most famous actors and actresses back in the days have decided to pursue a quiet life away from showbiz after they have worked hard to make people happy onscreen.

1. Nancy Castigilione
Her name might be hard to pronounce but you might remember her for her expressive eyes and fair skin.
Nancy used to grace the screens of primetime GMA Network and was popular along with Dingdong Dantes and Tanya Garcia. Now, she’s in Canada where she has her own family. Nancy also works as a broker.
2. Joyce Jimenez
Remember her moniker “Pantasya ng Bayan?” Joyce moved to the States and married Filipino- American US Air Force soldier, Paul Ely Egbalic, in 2008.
3. Krista Ranillo
Initially, it was reported Krista would take law and in 2010, she tied the knot with Nino Jefferson Lim, a businessman. They married in a Jewish-interfaith ceremony and both have four kids already.
4. Jewel Miche
She was tagged the “Ultimate Sweetheart” on GMA’s “Starstruck” but Jewel married Alister Kurzer in March 2015, where they currently reside.
5. Carol Banawa
The famous singer used to be part of Star Magic’s Batch 4 but now, she’s happily living in the States with her family.
6. Cindy Kurleto
Cindy was a hotshot back then because she used to be one of the sexiest models and MTV VJs. She moved to Peru in 8 years and finally migrated to Vienna, Austria in 2017.

7. Beth Tamayo
She used to be famous back in the ‘90s but now, Beth is based in San Francisco, U.S.A. with Alexander Gredysa.
8. Ehra Madrigal
Her name was synonymous with sexy shows and films. In March 2017, she married Tom Yeung in Boracay and is now living in the United States.

She used to appear in “T.G.I.S.” but now, she’s a nurse specializing in dialysis in New Jersey, U.S.A. She’s also engaged to Ben-g Manaois.

Ah, one of the most famous villainess in her time – you couldn’t forget Princess and her iconic role in “Mula sa Puso” but now, she’s in the States where she is a hands-on mom and a loving wife.

She was a very popular child actress but in her growing-up years, she moved to the States where she is now a corporate professional in New York. Talk about big time, huh?
15. RJ Padilla
The half-brother of Daniel Padilla appeared in some films but now, he is happily married to Bianca and has migrated in the land down under – Australia.

Even comedienne Ate Glow got her own happily-ever-after. She married her Brit boyfriend in 2016, where they have a purple-pink motif.
17. BB Gandanghari
It was tough for her in the first few years but BB Gandanghari finally moved to the States in 2016, where she is now living happily.
18. Julia Clarete
She used to be active in “Eat Bulaga” as one of its perky, lively hosts but Julia moved to the States and has not looked back since then.

She used to be famous onscreen but now, Maricar is currently living in the States with her unidentified boyfriend.
