Veteran newscaster and talk show host Jay Sonza on Monday talks about in his Facebook post, why President Rodrigo Duterte is mostly misunderstood , misread and taken out of context from his critics.

He cited 4 reasons which is basically the nature of where Duterte was raise and born. And how Duterte unstopping statements during his speeches. Actually, it is natural for Visayans to speak in a way cultural influences go with their dialect influences.

In addition, he also tackles on how media and journalism is different then and now.

Read full context of Jay Sonza's  justification on President Duterte:

"More often than not, Mr. Duterte is misunderstood, misread or taken out of context, especially for people who do not know him personally, who have not met him, who are not use to his manner of speaking, who have not experience his brand of leadership, who hates his guts and those who belong to the other side of the political fence and will eternally oppose anything this administration will do for the country.

(Translation:Here are more people who pretend to love the people, to be wise and to be successful. Your vested interests are subject to change or correction.) Those who possess meshianic complex who think that they are God's gift to humanity. (The other, they just want to be different or it really is just a word or something.)

(Why is it that the president of the country can not easily understand, read, or understand?) Let me venture to guess some reasons (hindi po ako personality specialist o psychologist, ang mga pananaw ko ay nakabase sa aking mahabang karanasan sa gobyerno, corporate world, media at batay na rin sa aking napag-aralan at bilang crisis manager sa ilang kung naging kliyente). (I am not a personality specialist or psychologist, my views are based on my long experience in the government, corporate world, media and based on what I have learned and as a crisis manager in the wilderness as a client)

First, Mr. Duterte thinks faster than he could speak. According to studies, ganito ang mga matataas ang IQ. He read more books, magazines and newspapers than any one of us. (The mouth can not catch up with the speed of thought. If you do not, his sentences often are almost out of date.) This specially pronounced when answers question during instant press conferences or ambush interview.

(Mayor was born in Leyte, grew up in Davao, a native of Cebuano (mind you buena familia).if you want to know more about this as Jojo Robles of Manila Standard & DWIZ), Maranaw/Muslim at Tsino. (The mix in culture, style and humor is a huge difference in the nature of the people of Luzon. In the Visayan, especially in the Mindanawan because of the movement of the lips, hands, feet, or kindats that are already understood.)

Third. (Even though many affluent friends, the President lived among selected ordinary people. Big "street" or street.)

Fourth. (All are not used yet to the sudden changes made. It is embarrassing to say that the Pinoy when abroad is deeply disciplined. But here in the homeland, the majority, dominated by the lack of discipline - rich or poor. Mr. Duterte's experience as Davao mayor, including government policy has brought good results. So, if the city is down the road, why not do it all over the country.

It becomes difficult only because some of the people around the president is not helping him. Foremost of which is the presidential spokesman.

Ubod ng bagal ng sagot, minsan ang sagot ay mali pa dahil hindi ka kabisado o nababasa ng taong dapat ay katuwang mo.(Actually there are two or three critics to the President but do not answer the people who should speak for you or the administration. So often the people hear, watch and read are your statements of anti-wrestling or want to overthrow you. Slowly the answer, sometimes the answer is wrong because you are not familiar or read by the person you should be with.)

By the way the presidential media relations is terrible. I say this because if it is in place, there wont be this imbalance media space as it appears today. And if I may suggest, no ambush interview for the president. It demeans the office At ito rin ang pinanggalingan ng mga binabaligtad na kuwento at upak kay Digong.

This is where I miss the likes of Juris Soliman (media relations), Didi Sytangco (spokesperson), and RTVM team of Erap. They were pro.

(I'm sorry, my eyes are painful.)"

So, we have heard the side of a veteran journalist and a man who had a great role in media since then before the president was a mayor of Davao.
