Here’s some more good news coming your way.
Last night, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced that it will create a P2P transportation service to ferry frontline healthcare workers who need to reach their posts, but are unable to do so due to the enhanced community quarantine and public transport ban in Luzon. The DOTr has delivered on that promise and has started deploying buses as of 7am today, March 18, 2020.
For the healthcare workers who wish to avail themselves of these free bus rides, take note that there are two identified pickup points: the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) and the BCFT East Metro Transport Terminal in Marikina City. From these two locations, the buses will go around the metro and stop at several hospitals. You can refer to the list below for the official routes.
Route 1: (PITX – Quezon City General Hospital via Makati/Pasig)

The DOTr has mentioned that these routes are still subject to change depending on the mandate of the Department of Health (DOH). These services will also comply with DOH protocols on social distancing, body-temperature checks, and regular disinfecting.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), as well as bus operators San Agustin and HM Transit, provided buses to help in this initiative. The DOTr also said that Grab Philippines president Brian Cu has already committed to helping transport healthcare frontliners free of charge—we’re still waiting on further details on that. There will be a motorpool system setup, too, for use of officials and members of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) during the Luzon-wide quarantine.
