An open letter scolding Senator Kiko Pangilinan’s daughter Frankie reliving the memory of the dead by posting her notes on the Corona impeachment on social media.
A certain Monching Lumantas of Davao City opened the letter with the standard ‘DEAR FRANKIE’ greeting.
Lumantas told Frankie he was in disbelief that during the Corona impeachment trial, there was a 25th judge.
‘I can’t believe that during the Corona impeachment trial, there was a 25th judge…do you know who that was? It was YOU ! ’
Lumantas called Frankie the 25th judge of the Corona impeachment because she was taking down notes while watching the proceedings LIVE at the bleachers of the senate hall.
‘While your Daddy was busy preparing for his rebuttal questions, you were also busy taking down notes while watching the proceedings from the bleachers of the Senate hall. Am I right that the “room was cold”?’
Lumantas reckoned that based on the notes Frankie scribbled, she already prejudged former CJ Corona as “guilty” long before the impeachment proceedings was finished. Said Frankie ought to be a lawyer because of her with and meticulousness.
‘Judging from the notes that you scribbled, I was struck by two(2) statements that you wrote down wherein you already prematurely convicted the poor Chief Justice. As an eleven year old kid, I was impressed with your cunning wit and meticulousness. You ought to be a lawyer someday.’
However, what Lumantas found disturbing was Frankie posting stuffs like this on socmed, reliving the memory of the dead and piercing the hearts of the surviving kin rather than posting happy moments of her graduation and all.
‘But, what bothers me a lot is why do you have to post on social media that kind of stuff? It ain’t ‘shallow and comical’, you are reliving the memory of the dead. Instead of posting happy moments during your GS graduation, you are piercing the hearts of the surviving kin.’
Lumantas ended the FB post dishing unsolicited advice to Frankie aka #Hija.
‘Let me give you an unsolicited advice #Hija. You can tweet whatever you like and get viral to your wondrous delight. But, always think twice before you post. If you think it’s right then go ahead, do it. When you regret doing it because it’s wrong then you can apologize. Remember, when you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself. ’
