Following a tight win over Iran, Rain or Shine suffered yet another defeat.
This time it was Korean Basketball League champion Anyang KGC that dealt the Elato Painters an 87-77 defeat in the W. Jones Cup Thursday night at the Taipei Heping Gymnasium.
Ji Hoon Park fired 25 points, while Du’Vaughn Maxwell chipped in 15 markers and nine boards for the Koreans, which played minus its Filipino import Rhenz Abando.
Rain or Shine fell behind by 20 points but managed to fight its way to 63-73 midway through the final period.
Still, the Elasto Painters could not complete their comeback as Park and Maxwell came through for Anyang.
Andrei Caracut topscored Rain or Shine with 19 points, while Ange Kouame had a double-double effort of 15 points and 13 rebounds.
The Elasto Painters now hold a 1-5 record, while Anyang improved to 4-1.
