Lester Prosper wants to win a title with Terrafirma before retiring

Former Terrafirma import Lester Prosper is seeking to have another tour of duty in the PBA, as he wants to lead the Dyip to a championship before his retirement from basketball.

“I would love to bring one championship to Terrafirma before I retire !!!! Is this possible ????” Prosper posted on Facebook a few days ago.

Prosper appeared in two conferences for the Dyip, in the 2019 and 2022 editions of the Commissioner’s Cup. Despite his monster numbers, he failed to carry Terrafirma to at least a playoff appearance in those two conferences.

Even Prosper’s Facebook followers are skeptical about the possibility of a championship for the Terrafirma franchise. Many netizens believe that Terrafirma is not serious about competing in the PBA, given its track record of trading its best players for benchwarmers.

“It’s possible only if management makes SERIOUS moves. Just needs to get a couple of proven vets in exchange of some youngins in the team,” one netizen said.

“No. Terrafirma is a SMC Farmteam,” another netizen commented.

“Not possible as long as Terra is a farm team. Winning a championship is not their goal,” a netizen added. (MJD)
