Fil-Am Ethan Alvano tallies 16 points as Wonju prevails over Changwon

Ethan Alvano had another solid offensive game as the Wonju DB Promy scored an 85-76 triumph against the Changwon LG Sakers in the Korean Basketball League on Thursday night at the Changwon Gymnasium.

The Filipino-American guard registered 16 points, three assists, three steals, and one rebound in almost 35 minutes of action as the DB Promy notched its second win in as many games.

Dedric Lawson led the way for Wonju with 29 points, including six three-point conversions; team captain Kang Sang-jae added 13 markers; and Kim Jong-kyu contributed 10 markers in the win.

Jeong In-deok finished with 19 points, including three outside conversions, to lead the way for the LG Sakers, while Assem Marei chipped in a double-double of 14 points and 16 rebounds.

Filipino guard Justin Gutang got much longer playing time as he contributed eight points and one rebound, but the LG Sakers have remained winless in three matches so far.

Alvano and Wonju aim to continue their winning streak on Saturday against the Busan KCC Aegis at the Wonju Sports Complex, while the LG Sakers hope to record their first win when they face the Daegu Korea Gas Corporation Pegasus on the same day.
