Steve Nash Enriquez to have jaw surgery

NU Bulldogs point guard Steve Nash Enriquez is scheduled for a surgical procedure on his injured jaw, which he sustained during their recent game against the UE Red Warriors last Wednesday.

An inadvertent elbow from UE’s Josh Alcantara hit Enriquez on his left jaw. The NU guard grimaced in pain and was immediately taken to the bench. Meanwhile, the referees slapped an unsportsmanlike foul on Alcantara.

The injury was initially ruled to be a dislocated jaw, according to a Spin.ph report.

On his Instagram story, Enriquez shared a photo of him while at St. Luke’s Medical Center.

“In the most difficult times of our life, God is always with you. Stay positive,” he wrote in his post.

The NU management has yet to release the official diagnosis of Enriquez and if he will miss the Bulldogs’ remaining games in UAAP Season 86. (MJD)
