The San Juan Knights-Go for Gold flexed their shooting prowess to score a 110-56 drubbing of the Parañaque Patriots in the 2025 MPBL Season on Saturday night at the Quezon Convention Center in Lucena City.
Amiel Soberano led San Juan’s three-point party with five conversions, Ron Dennison had four makes, while Jose Manuel Sabandal and Arvin Gamboa each made two triples. Overall, the Knights made 18 treys against Parañaque.
Soberano tallied 15 points and two assists, Gamboa added 15 points, three rebounds, and two assists, while Dennison contributed 12 points, 14 rebounds, four steals, and two assists in the lopsided win.
Dexter Maiquez led the way for San Juan with 18 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals to earn the Player of the Game honors, while Joseph Ubalde added 14 points, five rebounds, and two assists.
“Kami naman kahit sino ang kalaban, same treatment pa rin kami, go hard pa din kami, ‘yun ang game plan namin,” Maiquez said in a post-game interview. “Pagdating rin sa game, tulong-tulong lang kami, mapa-offense or defense.”
San Juan raised the record to a 12-1 win-loss slate, behind the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards (14-0) and the Abra Solid North Weavers (13-1), who earlier scored a 103-80 victory over Imus (6-9).
Meanwhile, the Quezon Huskers (11-3) scored an 83-71 win over the Caloocan Batang Kankaloo (10-5). Judel Fuentes waxed hot with 22 points, including seven three-pointers, for the Player of the Game honors.
