Bella Belen vows to give her all in PVL: ‘Ibibigay ko talaga ‘yung best ko’

Wherever she lands in the Premier Volleyball League, Bella Belen promises one thing: maximum effort.

The three-time UAAP MVP and National University’s standout confirmed on Saturday that she is entering the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft, taking her talents to the professional ranks after a storied collegiate career.

The announcement came during Day 2 of the PVL Draft Combine at Paco Arena, finally answering a question many fans had eagerly anticipated.

Despite being one of the most decorated athletes in UAAP history, Belen remains grounded. While she’s widely projected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the June 8 draft—a pick held by Capital1—she said she’s simply focused on showing her readiness to adapt and contribute.

Though she missed the Combine’s first day due to prior commitments—attending the opening of SM City Laoag and supporting NU Nazareth School in the Palarong Pambansa—Belen made up for it on Day 2 with strong participation in drills and scrimmages.

Now ready for a new chapter, Belen sees the PVL as a new learning curve, regardless of her achievements in the UAAP.

“I’m very excited na matuto pa nang marami kasi sa PVL mataas na rin ‘yung level ng paglalaro. I believe na marami pa akong pwedeng matutunan from them,” she added.

Whether or not she becomes the top pick, one thing is clear: the heart, discipline, and hard work that defined her time at NU will continue to shine on the PVL court.
