WATCH: Cager from Bacolod City imitates Michael Jordan’s iconic dunk

A cager from Bacolod City is gaining online attention for mimicking the iconic dunk of retired Chicago Bulls guard Michael Jordan during a slam dunk competition in the city.

Winefredo Fernandez was dubbed the “Michael Jordan ng Bacolod City” after a video of his viral dunk, in which he soared from near the free-throw line, executed a double-pump, and slammed the ball through the hoop.


In addition to the Jordan-inspired dunk, the 20-year-old Fernandez showcased several other dunk tricks, as seen in the video shared on the HoopX Basketball Facebook page.

Fernandez, a resident of Barangay Handuman in Bacolod City, is presently a student-athlete for the STI-West Negros University Mustangs in the province.
