The NxLed Chameleons are eager for a standout performance in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season, having secured the services of free agent volleybelle Ivy Lacsina.
In a Friday night social media post, the Chameleons announced that the former National University Lady Bulldogs standout will be one of the cornerstones of the team they are building for the next season.
“When we said that we are going to get stronger next season, this is what we meant. Now, let’s get started!” the Chameleons said. “Welcome to the Nxled Chameleons, Ivy Lacsina!”
Lacsina became a free agent as her former team, the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, decided to disband their women’s volleyball team and shift their focus to grassroots volleyball.
The one-time UAAP women’s volleyball champion had an impressive 2023 season with the Cargo Movers, showcasing her versatility as she transitioned from being a middle blocker to a wing spiker.
At the Chameleons, Lacsina is poised to reunite with former Lady Bulldogs teammate Camille Kal and collaborate with former UAAP opponents Lycha Ebon, Jho Maraguinot, Krich Macaslang, May Luna, and Dani Ravena.
Under the guidance of Japanese head coach Taka Minowa, the Chameleons had a respectable PVL debut in the just-concluded All-Filipino Conference, securing victories in four out of their 11 matches.
