Rudy Lingganay had a vintage game as the MisOr Mustangs cruised to a 101-84 victory over the CV Siniloan Daruma Dragons in the Pilipinas Super League President’s Cup on Saturday night at the Caloocan Sports Complex.
The former TNT Tropang Giga guard finished with a double-double of 22 points and 13 assists to go with seven rebounds and three steals as the Mustangs notched their fifth win in nine outings.
Jayvee dela Cruz also ended with 22 markers for MisOr; Kobe Monje and Don Don Villanueva had 20 and 15 markers, respectively; and Edsel Mag Isa chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds.
From a slim 19-15 lead in the first period, the Mustangs started to pull away in the second frame for a 50-39 lead at the half, which later grew to as huge as 17 markers in the second half.
Shawn Umali tallied a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Marvin Lee added 18 markers as the Daruma Dragons dropped to a 3-7 record.
Meanwhile, the Kyusi Pablo Escobets (5-4) returned to their winning ways after a 114-79 domination of the Bicol Spicy Oragons (1-7). Felix Apreku tallied a double-double of 12 points and 24 rebounds to lead the winning team.
