Denden Lazaro-Revilla, Bea de Leon grateful for their Creamline debuts

New additions Denden Lazaro-Revilla and Bea de Leon expressed gratitude for making their Creamline Cool Smashers debut in the team’s four-set victory against the Akari Power Chargers in the PVL 1st All-Filipino Conference on Thursday night.

They expressed gratitude to Cool Smashers head coach Sherwin Meneses for thoroughly preparing them in the days leading up to their first appearance with the team.

“I am so happy to be part of this team, especially to the coaching staff and my teammates, for the trust they have given me. Sobrang gaan sa pakiramdam na makalaro, and thank you, kay coach, for preparing us for this,” Lazaro-Revilla said.

“Kampante ako to be part of this team, kasi alam ko na may sasalo sa akin,” De Leon said. “Sobrang saya ko po, and sobrang grateful ako na mabigyan ng opportunity to play today. Happy lang talaga ako na nakapag contribute ako sa team.”

Lazaro-Revilla and De Leon mentioned that the Cool Smashers’ system differs significantly from their former team, the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, and they are gradually adapting to it.

“This is a stark contrast from the system that we came from, pero, ‘yun nga, they prepared us hard in the training and helpful ‘yung teammates namin, especially kapag nag scrimmage kami,” Lazaro-Revilla said.

“This is the system that I used to use before; mas mabilis talaga na system,” De Leon said. “Pero madaming pagkakaiba (sa former team), but personally, I think naman na nakaka adjust na kami ng pakonti konti, thank you din sa coaches na tyinatyaga nila kami.”

The defending champion Cool Smashers share the top spot in the standings with a 2-0 win-loss record.
