Is Alec Stockton considering leaving Converge?

Social media buzzed with speculation when a sports insider posted a cryptic message hinting at a player wanting to depart from his current team.

“One player wants to leave current team,” Snow Badua posted on X on Friday. “The problem: His ballclub will now be strict when it comes to releasing players.”

Badua, known for sharing PBA trade rumors through blind items, dropped a subtle clue at the conclusion of his post.

“Stock ka dun ngayon, boy,” he added.

Interpreting the hint, some PBA followers believe that the player in question is Converge guard Alec Stockton, as suggested by the PBA insider.

Stockton, drafted 21st overall in the 2020 PBA draft by the now-defunct Alaska franchise, was retained when Converge took over the Aces in 2022.

The versatile guard out of FEU posted averages of 9.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per contest in the Commissioner’s Cup.

Converge faced challenges in the offseason, losing Maverick Ahanmisi and Jeron Teng to free agency. The impact of their absence was noticeable in the Commissioner’s Cup, where the FiberXers secured only one win in 11 outings.
