Creamline Cool Smashers libero Denden Lazaro-Revilla emphasized that her first game against her former team, the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, in the PVL 1st All-Filipino Conference was purely business and not personal.
The 32-year-old Lazaro-Revilla admitted that it still feels strange to be with the Cool Smashers after spending her previous two PVL seasons with the Flying Titans.
“In a way, it feels weird, kasi it’s kinda fresh. Ilang months pa lang (ako) with Creamline. But, ‘yun nga, when we are inside the court, it’s all business. Outside, we are happy for one another,” said Lazaro-Revilla.
“I am very happy that we got this win today. A very crucial win for us, especially going to the semis. This win boosts our chances and, at the same time, ‘yung momentum namin moving forward,” she added.
The former Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles volleybelle further expressed her happiness in finding a new home with the Cool Smashers. She thanked them for warmly welcoming her to the team.
“After spending my last two seasons with Choco Mucho, really, it does feel like home (here with Creamline). Pagtapak ko sa training, parang pina-feel nila na welcome ako sa team,” said Lazaro-Revilla.
“The coaches, my teammates, and the management… They made it feel like I’m part of Creamline, even though I was from Choco Mucho. Yeah, one big happy family,” she added.
