Jia Morado on Creamline setter Kyle Negrito: ‘She is reaping what she worked hard for’

Julia Morado-de Guzman expressed pride in Kyle Negrito’s development as the Creamline Cool Smashers’ primary setter.

According to the Denso Airybees reinforcement, Negrito is reaping the rewards of her hard work over the past few PVL seasons, during which she served as an off-the-bench playmaker for the Cool Smashers.

“Kyle would work hard even when I was still playing for Creamline; she does the extra work, she comes to practice early, and she always asks when she wants to improve something,” Morado-de Guzman said.

“She is reaping what she worked hard for, nadala niya ‘yung Creamline twice (sa championship), sobrang proud ako, and ang laki ng tiwala ko sa kanila,” added the former Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles setter.

Negrito’s effort in the just-concluded PVL 1st All-Filipino Conference bore fruit as she captured her first-ever Best Setter award.

The former Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws standout clinched the citation as she led all qualified setters with a 4.65 average per set.
