PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial emphasized that the league’s traditional Christmas Day games are a way to give back to its loyal fans.
In an interview with DWAR Abante Radyo’s Sports Now program, Marcial shared that the PBA has consistently received numerous requests from fans to schedule matches on December 25, making the holiday games a much-anticipated tradition.
This year, the PBA has scheduled a Christmas Day doubleheader at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Converge FiberXers will face the Meralco Bolts in the opening game, followed by the much-anticipated rivalry clash between Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots as the main event.
