After capturing the ONE interim women’s atomweight title, Denice Zamboanga is eager to challenge her friend and reigning champion Stamp Fairtex for the undisputed championship.
ONE Championship has tentatively planned a pair of blockbuster events in the United States in 2025, and their title fight could be part of the lineup.
Zamboanga, known as “The Menace,” expressed her excitement about the possibility, saying she would be thrilled if their bout were included in the prestigious event.
“Of course, I’d be grateful to fight in the US because I haven’t been there. That would be amazing,” said Zamboanga, who dismantled Alyona Rassohnya at ONE Fight Night 27 to win the interim crown.
The pair have been scheduled to clash on three occasions. But injuries suffered by both parties several times have postponed the bout.
But after ONE Fight Night 27, there is nothing standing in the way of the showdown. Zamboanga said she is willing to wait for Stamp to return to full fitness.
“Definitely, Stamp (next). I’ll wait for her,” the Menace said.
“It’s up to ONE Championship because I don’t think I have [any] injuries after this. But yeah, it’s up to ONE Championship.”
