After keeping her plans under wraps, National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs star Alyssa Solomon is officially aiming for a spot in the Korean V-League (KOVO).
The 23-year-old opposite spiker is among 43 players applying for the prestigious league, making her the only Filipina college player in the draft.

In previous interviews, Solomon had declined to discuss her future but hinted that UAAP Season 87 would be her last.
She joins three other Filipina applicants who are already playing professionally:
Mars Alba (Choco Mucho Flying Titans)
Majoy Baron (PLDT High Speed Hitters)
Maddie Madayag (Choco Mucho Flying Titans; Kurobe Aquafairies)
If drafted on April 11, Solomon and her fellow applicants could follow in the footsteps of MJ Phillips and Iris Tolenada, who became the first Filipinas to play in South Korea in 2023.
The non-face-to-face draft will take place at Mayfield Hotel, where seven KOVO teams will select their Asian reinforcements.
