Another De La Salle University (DLSU) Lady Spikers star, Alleiah Malaluan, was nursing a minor injury during their clash against the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses last Saturday.
According to an Instagram story by Miguel Aytona, Malaluan’s personal strength and conditioning coach, the 22-year-old open spiker endured a “bad ankle” but still managed to display an impressive output for La Salle.

“[Alleiah still] scored double digits on a bad ankle,” Miguel said.
“[We] didn’t think she’d be able to play,” he added while citing several remedies they explored to ease the pain.
Alleiah was the fourth Lady Spiker to achieve a double-digit output next to Angel Canino, Shevana Laput, and Amie Provido. She contributed in the attacking and blocking departments by stacking up 10 points to help the team end their losing streak against the Golden Tigresses.
Right after the match ended, team captain Angel needed to be rushed to the hospital for some preventive health measures following an accidental collision with teammate Shevana. Her mother, Sol Canino, earlier reassured fans that Angel is “okay.”
