Creamline fans slam Meneses over Valdez’s limited minutes in Game 1 loss

Supporters of the Creamline Cool Smashers expressed their disappointment with head coach Sherwin Meneses following the limited use of Alyssa Valdez in their 25-17, 25-20, 18-25, 20-25, 15-10 loss to the Petro Gazz Angels in Game 1 of the PVL 2nd All-Filipino Conference Finals.

Valdez played only in the first two sets and was subbed in briefly in the fifth as a server, finishing the match with six points.

Fans took to social media to air their frustrations, arguing that Valdez’s experience and composure in high-pressure situations could have made a difference if she had been utilized earlier in the deciding frame.

Here are some of the reactions online:

Meneses has yet to comment on the decision, but with Game 2 set for Thursday, fans will be closely watching whether Valdez will be given a bigger role.
