Pinay tennis superstar Alex Eala continues her impressive rise in the WTA rankings, following her standout Miami Open campaign.
After reaching the semifinals of the Miami Open, Eala moved up two spots to No. 73 in the latest world rankings. This jump was driven by player movements above her in the list.
Eala, now focusing on the upcoming clay season, looks to build on her successful Miami Open run. She is set to compete in several key tournaments, including the Oeiras Ladies Open in Portugal (April 14), the Madrid Open (April 22), the Catalonia Open in Spain (April 28), a WTA 1000 event in Rome (May 6), and the Parma Ladies Open in Italy (May 12).
During the Miami Open, Eala achieved major upsets against three Grand Slam champions: Iga Swiatek, Madison Keys, and Jelena Ostapenko, before falling to world No. 4 Jessica Pegula in the semifinals.
