COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A traffic stop on 20th Avenue led to the arrest of two men last Thursday.
According to the Columbus Police Department, on Aug. 14, police stopped and approached a vehicle with multiple occupants. Police say one passenger, 25-year-old Quinnton Miles, allegedly tried to run from the scene but did not make it far before being captured.
The vehicle's other occupant, 20-year-old Javonta Stephens, and Miles were both taken into CPD custody. Police say a search of the car revealed marijuana with a street value of $1,120 and a firearm.
Stephens was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm. Miles was charged with obstruction.
Both were booked into the Muscogee County Jail.
