Fans of the Women’s Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (WMPBL) showered praises on Stefanie Berberabe after her record-setting performance that saw her notch the league’s first-ever quadruple-double.
The Gilas Pilipinas Women guard tallied 20 points, 15 rebounds, 10 assists, and 10 steals to power the Tagaytay Tol Patriots past the Pangasinan Solar Home Suns, 82-70, on Sunday night at the Batangas City Coliseum. The victory marked the Patriots’ second straight win following a 0-4 start.
Berberabe clinched the milestone with 2:20 left in the game when she intercepted Stifanny Larrosa’s bailout pass to Ara Abaca—a defensive stop that also secured Tagaytay’s victory.
The WMPBL highlighted the feat in a Facebook post, calling it “the definition of all-around dominance.”
Fans quickly filled the comments section with congratulatory messages:
“She ballin

“History sa WMPBL at sa MPBL naman si Kyt Jimenez TRX,” added Guil Fox.
“Congrats, Stef. Super performance!!” said Renato Ilagan.
“Congrats #8,” wrote Jose Luis San Juan.
Just a week earlier, Berberabe nearly accomplished the same feat with 13 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists, and seven steals in Tagaytay’s 91-63 rout of RK Hoops-Quezon City.
In a televised post-game interview, the former National University Lady Bulldog credited her teammates.
“My teammates are great. They’ve just made the game easier, so the game just came easy for me. Shout out to my teammates; they just make the basketball here much easier,” Berberabe said.
“I think it is just playing with my heart. I am exhausted running up and down the court, but my coaches, teammates, and the managers just put so much trust in me, so I just came out to play every game,” she added.
Berberabe’s performance also etched her name in Philippine pro basketball history, joining an elite list of players who have recorded quadruple-doubles: Donbel Belano in the 1999 MBA and Kyt Jimenez in the 2022 MPBL.
Pangasinan, meanwhile, dropped to 3-3 after absorbing back-to-back losses.
