Chery Tiggo libero Jen Nierva stole the spotlight on Tuesday night after her standout defensive performance powered the Crossovers to a straight-sets win over ZUS Coffee in the 2025 PVL Invitational Conference at the Philsports Arena.
Nierva finished with 11 excellent digs and 19 excellent receptions, numbers that earned her the Best Player of the Game award. But beyond the stats, it was her energy and consistency that drew admiration from fans.
On social media, the PVL itself highlighted her efforts with the post:
“JEN RISES TO THE OCCASION!”
Supporters quickly poured in their praise in the comments:
“Our best libero is on
!!!” wrote Xander Hueden.
“Congrats Jen, the beautiful libero
,” said Kapu Chino.
“Best Libero is Waving

,” added Jason Lacambra.
“New best libero!” said Agustin Larubis.
“Not a ‘NT Libero’ for nothing
,” noted Brenan FS.
Despite the recognition, Nierva remained humble, admitting she still has more to give.
“Hindi pa rin enough ang effort. Hangga’t hindi namin naaabot ang goal, hindi pa tapos ang trabaho namin,” she said.
Nierva and the Crossovers now turn their focus to a crucial battle against Japan’s Kobe Shinwa, with the winner securing the last Finals berth.
A victory would set up a rematch with the red-hot PLDT High Speed Hitters, who have already locked in their spot in the championship.
