What to know before kickoff: MCSD spectator policies

Columbus, GA. (WRBL) - The Georgia High School football season kicks this week. Muscogee County School officials want to remind spectators of the rules for attending games in the Fountain City.

All middle school aged students and younger children must be accompanied by an adult 21 years or older, who is responsible for them throughout the event. They will be refused entry without an adult.

Muscogee County also has a clear bag policy in place for football game spectators. Kendal Mills, Muscogee County Athletic Director, explained the specifics of the bag policy.

"Muscogee County School district we're going to enforce a clear bag policy. If it's a storage bag it can be 8'' x 10'' as long as it's see through. Ladies can have a small clutch bag, which I think those dimensions are 5 x 9, all bags are subject to another search. But if they're clear bags we will definitely allow those into the stadiums and the venues for contest," said Mills.

When spectators arrive at either Kinnett Stadium or Odis Spencer Stadium they should expect to go through a metal detector or be screened by security at home games throughout the season.
The only valid tickets to attend a MCSD football game can be purchased online at GoFan.com.
