COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)- It has been a great day for college football. We had sunny skies and temperatures warmed into the upper 80s.
Sunday: We are repeating the forecast tomorrow. Get ready for cool mornings and a warm afternoon. We will have a few passing clouds and a slight breeze throughout the day.

Next Week: The high pressure that has kept us dry will hang around for longer in our forecast. By the middle of next week, afternoon temperatures will be above average. You can expect readings to rise in to the low-mid 90s by Thursday.

There remains no chances for rain in our forecast. So far this month, we have only received 0.01 inches of rainfall at the Columbus Airport. This puts us at nearly an 1.50 inches below average for the month and 3.00 inches below average for the year.

Drought conditions are not in place currently, but dry soils are observed for parts of the veiring area. We will be monitoring closely for drought conditions over the next few weeks.
