COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) -- Columbus Police have an ongoing death investigation stemming from an overnight shooting at a residence in the 1600 block of 17th Street.
The call came to the police just after midnight Monday morning.
Police say the shooting involved two women, one of whom is dead from a gunshot wound. Police say the shooter and the deceased knew each other. The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation.
The home is in the Lakebottom area of Columbus near the park.
The Columbus Police Department Violent Crimes Unit is leading the investigation.
