Crisp start to the week with sunshine ahead

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) -- Good Monday morning! It's finally starting to feel like fall out there. Temperatures this morning are the coolest we've seen since early May, dipping into the upper 40s and low 50s.

Don't forget your sunglasses—today will be filled with sunshine and hardly a cloud in sight. Afternoon highs will be seasonable, making for a pleasant fall day.

Tonight stays clear and cool, with lows settling into the mid to upper 50s.

Looking ahead, the rest of the week remains dry with a gradual warming trend. By midweek, highs will climb back into the mid 80s.

Unfortunately, the dry stretch will worsen ongoing drought conditions. However, we're keeping an eye on a cold front that could bring a few showers and thunderstorms by Sunday.
