COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) -- Jansen Tidmore, the new President and CEO of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce, opened up about his first two months steering one of the region's most storied nonprofits.
Appointed in May 2025 after a standout tenure at Colorado's Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation, Tidmore—a Dothan, Ala., native and Auburn University alum—brings a track record of sparking over $12 billion in investments and 15,000 jobs to Columbus.
He talks about economic development and the chamber's role since the establishment of Choose Columbus, an economic development organization working under the Develop Authority.
He also talked about the homework he did before taking the Columbus job. This included a deep dive into the Muscogee County School District.
