Murder investigation underway in North Columbus; one person deceased

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Columbus Police department says a murder investigation is underway in the 6300 block of Brookstone Boulevard, near Bradley Park Drive.

Officers were called to the scene late Monday evening, where one person was found dead. The department says its Violent Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.

The Muscogee County Deputy Coroner was on scene. No word yet on the victim's identity or what led up to the shooting.
