San Juan Knights-Go for Gold guard Orlan Wamar Jr. absorbed two unsportsmanlike hits from the Pasay Voyagers during their MPBL 2025 Season division playoff clash on Wednesday night.
The veteran Knights playmaker was first struck in the head by Voyagers guard Roldan Sara in the third quarter following a rebound battle. Sara was assessed a disqualifying foul and was ejected from the game.
A second incident occurred late in the fourth quarter when Pasay’s Felipe Chavez Jr. appeared to pin Wamar’s head during a scramble. Chavez was called for an unsportsmanlike foul.
Additionally, Knights guard Royce Alforque was also on the receiving end of Voyagers’ physicality as two Pasay players converge at him during a rebound battle.
Despite the physical encounters, San Juan stayed composed and defeated Pasay, 77-66, to advance to the Northern Division semifinals. (AC)
