Nikola Jokic’s underwear ‘stolen’ after Denver’s Game 4 loss to Minnesota

Nikola Jokic endured a tense and unusual night after the Denver Nuggets fell 112-96 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, dropping to a 3-1 deficit in their Western Conference first round playoff series.

The loss alone placed Denver in a precarious position, but a bizarre locker room incident quickly became the most talked-about moment involving the Nuggets star.

Following the game, Jokic emerged from the showers visibly upset while searching through his belongings, convinced that something had gone missing.

“Someone stole my underwear,” Jokic was quoted as saying.

According to The Athletic’s Jason Quick, the Serbian center appeared “part alarmed, part panicked, part irritated” as he tried to locate the missing item. The situation, however, was resolved moments later when the underwear was found hanging inside his locker.

While the mix-up ended without issue, it underscored the frustration surrounding Jokic and the Nuggets after another difficult outing.

Tensions had already been high on the court, with Jokic involved in a late-game confrontation with Minnesota’s Jaden McDaniels following a controversial basket in the final second of the match.

As Denver faces elimination, both the unusual locker room episode reflect a team searching for answers in a rapidly slipping series. (AC)
