According to the citation, the recognition was presented on Jan. 21, 2026, during the “Parangal at Pasasalamat sa mga Bayaning Atleta” ceremony at Malacañang, where Marcos honored Filipino athletes who represented the country at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.
