ADRIAN Nocum made a strong impression on a South Korean basketball analyst despite Gilas Pilipinas’ struggles in its two-game exhibition series against South Korea.
Nocum averaged 9.5 points across the two tuneup games as the Philippines suffered consecutive defeats to the Koreans in Suwon.
His performance also caught the attention of Korean basketball analyst @baekpd1983, who singled out the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters guard as the player who stood out the most during their first friendly matchup.
“In yesterday’s friendly match between the South Korean and Philippine national basketball teams, the player who stood out the most to me was Adrian Nocum,” @baekpd1983 said on his X account.

The recognition came as Gilas used the series to build chemistry and prepare for the upcoming Asian Games.
South Korea won the opening game, 81-55, before completing the sweep with a 69-42 victory in the rematch on Sunday.
